OUR HISTORY:
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal benefit society, open to men 18 years or older. McGivney, the KofC cares for the financial needs of its members and their families through its insurance program. John of Beverly Council was founded in 1967. Initially meetings wand events were held in Beverly, OH before building our current facility in Churchtown, OH in

1975. Today, our members consist of gentlemen who attend St. Bernard Church in Beverly, OH, St. John the Baptist Church in Churchtown, OH, and Our Lady of Mercy Church in Lowell, OH. Currently, we have around 300 members in our council that are actively involved in their communities. OUR FACILITY:
Situated in the beautiful rural setting of Churchtown, Ohio (13 minutes from downtown Marietta) the 4617 Home Corporation venue offers the host space to make their wedding, reception, anniversary, graduation, birthday, or special event the social gathering of the year! With space to comfortably seat 450 guests the possibilities are endless. The venue includes many great amenities, some included:
• 5,000 ft2 (50’ x 100’) open hall with 18’ ceilings
• Great outdoor wedding areas, including our NEW PATIO
• Full kitchen with industrial stoves, dishwasher, refrigerator, and ice maker (free to use with rental)
• Tables and folding chairs
• Outdoor porch and concrete patio with scenic views
• Walk in cooler
• Roasters and food warmers
• Fully air conditioned and heated
• Handicap accessible
• Horse-shoe pits, baseball field, basketball court, and playground

In addition to the great amenities, we allow the event host to:
• Bring their own caterer and outside food
• Bring their own alcohol (saving money)
• Choose their preferred vendors
• Have full unlimited weekend access



OUR DONATIONS:
We strive to support the surrounding communities and parishes. Charity is at the heart of our organization. Over the past 3 years, we have given over $30,000 to local organizations and fundraisers. We do this by hosting many fundraisers annually. Below are just some of the places our money has been used:

✅We had a great time Friday at the 2024 Churchtown Trunk or Treat with over 100 kids participating!

💲Thanks to everyone for donating to the Wasco, Inc. Washington County Ohio, we raised over $475 dollars as part of our Helping Hands Program!

We are happy to be a neighbor to St. John Central School and a small part of this great community!

🩶 Thank you, Knights of Columbus 4617 - Churchtown, OH, for being a platinum sponsor! 🩶

🏛️The K of C hall is a staple of our community! Their event hall boasts 5,000 sqft that comfortably seats 450 guests and is heated and cooled, making it perfect to use any time of the year. The facility includes a huge parking lot, playground, full kitchen, new outdoor patio, and more. Not to mention location is only a short drive from Marietta, Beverly, Belpre, and Parkersburg. This is the perfect venue for any event, especially weddings!

🛡️The members of our K of C hall are immensely active in bettering not only St. John Central School but the entire community surrounding it. Funds that the K of C raises go towards many charity organizations as well as supporting: youth baseball leagues, college scholarships, Special Olympics, Watertown Fire Department, Vocations, and much much more!

Last night Grand Knight, Taylor Pottmeyer, presented a check for $500 to Bridget Stephens with Mary's House - Southeastern, Ohio. Mary's House is a home for pregnant women eighteen and over, of all faiths whose desire it is "to save the children". Mothers who choose life for their baby will need a safe loving home in which to be nurtured in life skills, spiritual growth and healthy relationships. We are happy to be a small part of their great efforts and to fulfill the requirements for the KofC Aid and Support After Pregnancy Program!
