St. John of Beverly Knights of Columbus is located in Churchtown, Ohio on SR 676. Founded in New Haven, CT in 1882 by Father Michael J. The St.
OUR HISTORY:
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal benefit society, open to men 18 years or older. McGivney, the KofC cares for the financial needs of its members and their families through its insurance program. John of Beverly Council was founded in 1967. Initially meetings wand events were held in Beverly, OH before building our current facility in Churchtown, OH in
1975. Today, our members consist of gentlemen who attend St. Bernard Church in Beverly, OH, St. John the Baptist Church in Churchtown, OH, and Our Lady of Mercy Church in Lowell, OH. Currently, we have around 300 members in our council that are actively involved in their communities. OUR FACILITY:
Situated in the beautiful rural setting of Churchtown, Ohio (13 minutes from downtown Marietta) the 4617 Home Corporation venue offers the host space to make their wedding, reception, anniversary, graduation, birthday, or special event the social gathering of the year! With space to comfortably seat 450 guests the possibilities are endless. The venue includes many great amenities, some included:
• 5,000 ft2 (50’ x 100’) open hall with 18’ ceilings
• Great outdoor wedding areas, including our NEW PATIO
• Full kitchen with industrial stoves, dishwasher, refrigerator, and ice maker (free to use with rental)
• Tables and folding chairs
• Outdoor porch and concrete patio with scenic views
• Walk in cooler
• Roasters and food warmers
• Fully air conditioned and heated
• Handicap accessible
• Horse-shoe pits, baseball field, basketball court, and playground
In addition to the great amenities, we allow the event host to:
• Bring their own caterer and outside food
• Bring their own alcohol (saving money)
• Choose their preferred vendors
• Have full unlimited weekend access
OUR DONATIONS:
We strive to support the surrounding communities and parishes. Charity is at the heart of our organization. Over the past 3 years, we have given over $30,000 to local organizations and fundraisers. We do this by hosting many fundraisers annually. Below are just some of the places our money has been used:

The regular monthly meeting and Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity for new members scheduled for tonight will be canceled due to weather conditions.
The exemplification will be rescheduled to Monday, January 13th at 6:45 pm. Candidates should arrive at 6:30. There will be light refreshments to follow. All members are encouraged to attend!

Monday, January 6, 2025, Knights of Columbus 4617 will hold an Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity for new members to earn their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees. This will take place at 6:45 pm at our hall in Churchtown. All members are encouraged to attend! If any members know other Catholic gentlemen over the age of 18 years old looking to join our council bring them along so that they can also participate. New members are asked to arrive at 6:30 pm to prepare. There will be a regular meeting and light refreshments to follow.

We are happy to announce that our 2025 Scholarship Application is now open! Any senior who is currently attending a local high school may apply for the Knights of Columbus Council #4617 Scholarship. Two winners will be selected from this area. The scholarship recipients will receive a $500.00 check. The application must be submitted by March 15, 2025.

🎄⭐️🎄We had a great turn out last night for our Spread the Light of Christ - Keep Christ In Christmas program. Thank you Fr. David Gaydosik for leading us in this event! 🎄⭐️🎄
🎁We were happy to gift Father money that he plans to use to purchase a Christ the Teacher statue.
👏🏻 We also recognized our Keep Christ In Christmas poster contest winners.👏🏻

Last night Grand Knight, Taylor Pottmeyer, and Deputy Grand Knight, Tanner Pottmeyer, presented Wasco, Inc. Washington County Ohio a check for $477 as part of our Helping Hands Program. We are happy to be able to aid in their mission!

The regular monthly KofC 4617 meeting scheduled for tomorrow night will be moved to next Monday, December 9th at 7:30 PM following the Spread the Light of Christ event at 6:30 PM. This will be a short business meeting followed by setup for the KofC Christmas Party.
