Most of you know that recently, I was asked to join a killer project called Jeremy Would Let Me Drown. We perform the music of three of my favorite bands Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden. 🤘😁
This SATURDAY at Dixie Tavern we will be having fun with an “80s vs 90s Decade Battle” with our “90s band” up against the “80s band” a local favorite and friends of ours Mad Margritt!
I’ve actually known the dudes in Mad Magritt for just under 30 years!! I was just beginning to play the downtown club scene with my high school metal band Millers Tale. We played the Wreck Room, The Roxy in Buckhead, and The Masquerade on North Ave. I was about 16, or maybe 17 when this was all happening in around ‘94 or maybe ‘95.
Everything is so different these days. Cover and tribute bands saturate the scene and bring in the most revenue, so of course the guys that want to stay in music for a career, play along and try to have fun and do what we do.
Much love and respect for Mad Margritt and all the long term pro musicians entertaining and loving what they do for music fans weekly around metro ATL. Kudos to the fans that come support us and patron the establishments.
