A few photos from last week’s - Making the Most of Summer Produce with residents . They did an incredible job!! While we miss the good old days of in person classes, there is something very rewarding about connecting with people in their home kitchen. If they take away even a few new tips and tricks, then we’ve done something to feel good about. Here are a few snapshots of their final dishes- YUM!!

Sadly this is the only photo I took from last night’s French Riviera dinner - we had to scram before the surprise bday girl arrived!! Pissaladière takes me straight back to living in France (sigh). Hailing from Provence, this dish packs a punch- onions caramelized for 2+ hours, umami anchovies and briney Nicoise olives combined with a buttery crust. Not for the faint hearted, but it is soooo good!!

After two months of denial, it is time to announce: the Marina kitchen is permanently closed.
It was hard to talk about it without knowing what lay across the horizon. Now it seems clear that nothing will be like before, with the opportunity to be much, much better. Here’s our chance to change our relationship to food and the people who grow and raise it. Let’s take that chance! This wont’t be the last Cookdrop kitchen, not by a long shot, but it will always be the first. Thanks to every beautiful soul who walked through these doors and made this girl’s dreams come true 💫
