A Reintroduction ✨ Please Read!
Hi, I’m Susan Dunne, founder and lead planner of Weddings by Susan Dunne.
It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself, and a lot has changed over the last year and a half.
The biggest change? We welcomed our beautiful daughter, Hailey, into our lives through surrogacy. It was a journey that challenged us, grew us, and ultimately brought us the greatest gift we could have imagined.
Becoming a first-time mom has been filled with precious moments, sleepless nights, lessons, and so much love. I wouldn’t change any of it for the world.
When Hailey arrived, I made the intentional decision to scale back the number of weddings and events we accepted. I wanted to be present during those early years while also ensuring that every client continued to receive the level of care, creativity, and attention that defines our work.
Like many working moms, I’ve learned to juggle business ownership, motherhood, daycare schedules, home life, and everything in between. This season has given me a new perspective on what truly matters.
One thing that hasn’t changed is my philosophy: quality over quantity.
I’ve never wanted to be the planner with the most weddings on the calendar. I’ve always wanted to be the planner who provides an exceptional experience for every couple we serve.
Motherhood has also deepened the way I connect with our clients. When I walk into a wedding, I don’t just see an event. I see families coming together, parents watching their son or daughter begin a new chapter, and two people choosing forever.
For me, it’s never been about the bells and whistles.
It’s about the people.
I love what I do. I love the relationships we build. And I take tremendous pride in guiding our couples from the first conversation to the final farewell.
