Tonight, Golden Hour received the McDowell County Community Impact Award.

A huge thank you to the McDowell Chamber of Commerce for this incredible honor. When I first started Golden Hour, I never imagined it would lead to any sort of award. I was just doing what I love—serving food and an experience to the community that has given me so much.

I have to say, any impact I’ve made is because of the people who were in this room tonight. This town is full of hardworking, resilient, and kind-hearted people who show up for each other, and I’m just lucky to be a part of it.

So, thank you—to my family, friends, customers, and everyone who has supported me along the way. I promise to keep working hard, keep feeding y’all, and keep doing my best to make a difference.

There are a few things I know for sure.

1.) Life is too short for fake cheese, fake butter, or fake people.
2.) Speaking of cheese, hand grated > pre-shredded every single time.
3.) This one is technically an opinion, but I have *perfected* the Caesar Salad.

Crisp Romaine, Housemade (w/ love) Caesar dressing, grilled chicken, toasted Panko topping, hand grated parm, and a lemon wedge because you’re fancy. 🍋 🥬 🧀🧄
