To our beloved community,

First things first. We are praying for all of you. For all of US. If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that we take care of each other here. We take care of each other during the “normal” times, and we definitely step up in the midst of chaos and tragedy.

Alright, personal things, because we’re getting messages from lots of out of town clients asking if we’re okay. My family and I are SAFE. Stuff is stuff, and in the end, we have our lives and each other, and that is enough. Our community has been resilient for centuries, and I have no doubt we will come together to rebuild, support, and lift each other up in the days ahead.

Next. Business. Like most small businesses in our area, September - December is our busiest season. I’ve been mentally preparing for October for months. My favorite part about my business is that we get to be a part of all the happy. Your wedding receptions. Your birthday parties. Your promotions and retirements. Graduations and showers. It’s hard for us to see any “happy” right now. If you are on our calendar at all between now and December, please reach out to us when you are ready. We will do our VERY BEST to be accommodating and work with you. Whether it be to keep you on the calendar as planned, re-schedule, or get you refunded.

To my knowledge, Golden Hour faired well through the storm. I peeked through our door Friday evening, and everything looked as we had left it.

As a small business owner and a member of this incredible town, I want to do my part to give back and help. While I’m still figuring out the best way to contribute, please know that I am committed to supporting our community in any way I can. I will share more details as soon as I have a concrete plan
