Backdrop from this past weekend! 😍
I have taken a step back from balloon work lately, but when my sister-in-love calls on me, I can’t say no as many as times as I’ve had to call on her!! 😉
To add, i’m typically not a fan of gold, but it really made this backdrop pop and really complimented the hints of gold throughout the event! 💛
Late posting, but it was an honor to be asked to make the backdrop for Tanner’s senior table at NCA! Our original plan fell through last minute, but we made it happen! 😅
I’ve known this sweet boy since he was younger than my own kids, and he has always held a special place in my heart! He’s so kind, respectful, athletic, and all the good qualities that I hope my own boys have at his age! ♥️

It was such an honor to be able to help with the Launch Event for Meg’s place Thursday evening! If you’re not familiar with Meg’s place, it is a temporary home for children awaiting placement in foster care! 🤍

Did you know that before Meg’s Place that these babies are/were sleeping on cots at the DSS building and showering at the YMCA?! Meg’s place will be providing these children with a safe, comfortable, fully-furnished home with full amenities. The need for this home in our community is HUGE, and it is my hope and prayers that each and everyone of you will take the time to be (and stay) informed of the blessing it will be!
This Friday, March 8, will be the ribbon cutting for Meg’s place, as well as an open house for the community to tour the home. I encourage you all to attend, as well as be in prayer for this home and all of the children, DSS workers and volunteers who will be staying here! Also, this home will run solely on donations, so if anyone feels it in their heart to make a monetary donation, please reach out to Amber Vess or the Live Like Megan Foundation page.

I had asked Easton if he wanted to have a party at the trampoline park and he said “No! I want to have a party that you set up!” Talk about pulling on my mama heart strings! 🥹♥️
We typically make chocolate covered strawberries for the boy’s teachers for Valentine’s Day, but Kohen asked if he could make his teachers a charcuterie board this year! Tonight, we practiced, and it turned out so beautiful that we feel the need to offer one to anyone who’s heart desires! 😉

When Brittany Quinn Burnett asked me to put together a grazing table for Nash and her sister’s birthday, I couldn’t not say yes knowing how much of a foodie that sweet boy is! 😍 also, peep my first meat roses! 😍🌹
The first party of the new year is in the books, and it was quite a special event!
A little back story… my papaw turns 70 today! Last year on his birthday we went out to dinner, and afterwards he called me thanking me because “that was the closest thing to a Birthday party that he had ever had!” What?! 69 years old and he had never had a birthday party?! Also, at the time, he was battling cancer (he beat it!). I called my mom and told her that, “the good lord willing, we [were] throwing him a party next (this) year for his birthday!”
Needless to say, God is good, and he is faithful! We were able to throw him a surprise birthday party this year, and it was perfect!
During the planning process, the only theme I could find for a 70 year old male was black and gold. I wasn’t happy with that. It was too generic, and not personal enough for such a special occasion! I started brainstorming on a theme, and it didn’t take me long to come up with “tools.”
This man has 8272936492739473668 x 2685 tools, and he also retired from Baxter Healthcare as a maintenance man. It was beyond fitting, and using his own tools, we added that extra personal touch!
I just want to say a huge thank you to those of you who helped us celebrate such a special man! 🤍

Over the past few weeks, I have had quite a few people ask if PEAK was my business, and it occurred to me that I’ve never properly introduced myself here! So for those of you who don’t know, I’m Ciera! I am married to my handsome husband, Austin, and we have three amazing little boys.. Easton (9), Kohen (7), and Pierson (4). Combining all four of their first initials is how I came up with the name of my business.. PEAK Events. My passion for event planning began when I was pregnant with Easton and was planning baby showers, and then came our wedding, birthday parties and more baby showers! I enjoyed the planning, decorating, and watching all the pieces come together. Not only did I enjoy it, but I was good at it! Finally, after so many people told me I should start a business, I took a leap of faith at the beginning of this year and did just that!
I would also like to take a minute to introduce Kaitlyn, as she is truly the woman behind the scenes of this business! She is my sister-in-love, and a wonderful aunt to my boys. She jumped in head first and has been of great help to me through out this whole experience. She’s also pretty great at following my direction, which is a huge plus, and already knows what I’m envisioning before I do.. I truly don’t know what I would do with her assistance!
It truly has been a pleasure to work with our clients over these past months, and we can’t wait to continue to make your events one to remember!! 🤍

It was a pleasure to decorate these trees for Marion's Festival of Trees today! I strongly encourage you all to visit the Miller Complex between now and December 6th to vote for your favorite tree by placing an unwrapped toy(s) underneath. All toys will be donated to Project Christmas to ensure that local kids have a great Christmas, and the top three trees with the most gifts donated will receive money to give to a local Charity of their choice. Long post so bear with me, but I just want to reflect and show a little appreciation!
I was talking to Kaitlyn Andrews about how far we .. and when I say we , it’s because she has been right hand woman along this journey … have came in just a short amount of time! When we first started, it took both of us working our tails off 4-6 hours to complete an order. Now, we can easily do it in 2ish (depending on size) hours. We have learned a lot along the way, and I honestly could not do it without her.. she is truly the “woman behind the scenes” of this business! More than that though, she has faith in me! I text her mid-set up in a panic about meeting a deadline and she shows up, or we show up together and I tell her “I’m trying a new technique today” and she never questions it! She asks me what she can do, and she does it.. no if’s,and’s, or but’s. Her balloons are way more round and pretty than mine, so it usually results in her blowing up and tying ALL the balloons and me putting them together. If I say “I see a hole” she immediately sees it and knows exactly what I need to fix it!
Also, I am my own worst critic, and I will always look back at pictures and see what I couldve, should’ve, would’ve done better, but I truly feel like we were never “bad” at this! We have always made it come together and made our clients happy, but if you all only knew all the time and effort it takes behind the scenes, then you would then truly understand the progress we have made!
I say all of this to say that I am proud of US, but even more than that, I am thankful for our customers who believed in us from the very beginning!! The ones who never hesitated to let us play such a special part in their special event , and trusted us to fulfill that role!!
Just for fun, I’m attaching a picture of the first Toy Story arch I did and a picture of the last one I did. Some will see the difference , and some may not, but I know the difference , and I couldn’t be more proud, happy, and grateful for everyone who has played a part in getting here!! 🤍

Fun fact: for those of you who don’t know, we are most definitely a baseball family. Our two oldest boys play travel ball so a lot of our weekends are spent on the ball field. On weekends that we play ball, I will sometimes ask if I can do the balloons on the Friday before the party. When asking this, I always get the same question.. “will the balloons stay up?!” Yes, they will! ☺️
Remeber the 4th of July arch I did for my sister-in-law’s birthday?! This is the same arch! I just removed the stars, added the ball and glove, and reused it for a friend’s baseball-themed party! 🤍
This. This is exactly what I envisioned when I started this business! Helping my client decide on a theme, working out every teeny-tiny detail, hand-made centerpieces, even spending hours just to pick the most perfect colors for the balloon arch. Then decorating on party day, and watching everything we envisioned come together! 😍
I met Mitzi and Tommy years ago as a server, and they have became such special friends. Mitzi wanted Tommy to have the perfect party for the big 6-0, and she fully trusted and believed in me to do my part in making that happen. I think that, together, we accomplished just what she was going for! 🤍
As an added bonus, I was also invited to party so not only did I get to see it come together, but watch it all play out. It was a wonderful evening.. if you don’t believe me, just ask my 7 year old who I couldn’t get to leave.🤣
