18 years ago I finished up Valentine's Day at Madison Florist and headed to 23 North Main St to begin this adventure called It Can Be Arranged. I really had no expectations of where this would lead or how it would all work out. I never opened a business to compete with anyone else or just for the purpose of making money.
All I knew is that I wanted to create things with flowers and that my dad had told me once, that if it was ever possible, to work for myself. At one point during this career, I was offered a job which sounded good 'on paper' but I have always kept my dad's advice close to my heart and couldn't let go of my own business.
There have definitely been struggles along the way, recently deciding to move was one of those big struggles, but my love of flowers and the joy and comfort that receiving flowers can bring to someone keeps me going.
Thank you so much to each of you that have supported my business, be it with a purchase, a referral, a "like", or a word of encouragement. The truth is that working for yourself doesn't actually exist. I may own my own shop, but I work for my wonderful customers, many of whom have become dear friends.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you for these past 18 years, here's to 18 more!!
