Unloading the kiln is a process. We have to remove each item and clean the stilt marks off before removing the next layer of posts and shelves. If only it were this fast!! #sweadamae #marionohio

The reactions that happen in the kiln with stoneware glazes are always unique! Check out the beautiful pottery that our customers made! 🤩 #sweadamae #marionohio

What happens after you paint pottery in our studio? We dip it!!! Our pottery gets dipped into a clear glaze that coats the entire piece. We dip 3/4 of the piece then shake off the excess glaze. Once that has dried we dip the remaining 1/4 and shake it again. The pottery then dries for a day before we load it into the kiln to be fired. FUN FACT, the clear glaze appears a pale green when we dip it, but it fires clear!! #sweadamae #marionohio

Our fun and creative group of homeschool kiddos made turtles out of #sweadamae #sweadamaeartcafe #marionohio clay using the coil method. Lots of messy fun was had and of course learned about clay and how to build with it!

We had a packed house full of polite, creative kiddos and their parents. We had to add a 2nd session for this month’s project to fit everyone in. Register for October’s Homeschool Shindig by visiting www.sweadamae.com.
