2025 FAIR THEME CONTEST

Hard to believe…but it’s true! Time to come up with the theme for the 2025 Mariposa County Fair and Homecoming.

The following rules apply: Limited to Mariposa County residents of any age; no limit on the number of ideas that may be submitted; please put them all on the same piece of paper; entries must be identified with name and address; theme limited to five words or less; earliest postmark in case of tie wins; Board of Directors to be the sole judges; persons employed by the fair, Board members or their families not eligible. All entries to be received in writing in the fair office no later than 3 PM, January 17, 2025. You may send your ideas via email to [email protected].

The winner will receive two season passes to the 2025 Fair.

Put your thinking caps on and get going. The Board will be choosing the winning theme at their January 2025 meeting.

Calling all cowboys and Cowgirls! Once again, Frank Rose Construction has added a donation to the Friday night Ultimate Cowboy and Ultimate Cowgirl contest! An added $1,000 for each one to be awarded as follows: 1st Place $700 + the origional $100, 2nd Place $200 and 3rd Place $100. Get your entries in at our office or sign up that night, limited to 10 contestants for each contest!

Your membership makes a big difference!

The Mariposa Friends of the Fairgrounds Foundation works tirelessly to gather donations and sponsors to help maintain the Mariposa County Fairgrounds. With State funding being cut in recent years, the Board has been tasked with finding unique solutions to preserve and maintain the Mariposa Fairgrounds for years to come.

FYI - We currently have Fire Camp on the grounds for the Pedro Fire, our office is still open and accepting entries. All Livestock entries, Still entries and Horse Show entries close on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 5:00 PM. You can do all of your entries except horse show online for a $2 fee.

INDEPENDENT SMALL ANIMAL EXHIBITORS: Last day to turn in your Independent paperwork for Rabbits, Poultry & Pigeons is Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 4:30 PM. All Iivestock entry forms are due by Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

REMINDER: All Jr Livestock Exhibitors that plan to show Swine, Sheep or Goats must have their animals purchased no later than July 1, 2024. ALSO, if showing as an Independent Exhibitor all of your independent paperwork must be turned in by July 1, 2024 by 4:30 PM.
