Happy Halloween!

It may be a day full of pumpkins and candy, but we are already thinking about Christmas!

Our flower fields are officially closed for the season, but will still have a few TRICKS up our sleeves.

We can’t wait to TREAT you with beautiful poinsettias for the Christmas season!

It’s been a busy weekend at 3 Flowers Farms! We have started planting our cold hardy flowers that will start producing in the Spring. In addition, we’ve been adding fence to expand our grow area. We can’t wait to show you everything we have growing!

We are down to the final few mums, but the quality remains the same. These are truly the largest mums I have seen locally.

Let’s talk mum care!

Have you ever heard someone say “oh, I can’t have a mum, all I ever do is kill them?”

Did you know that mums are perennials and will come back year after year? You truly can’t kill them! Mums have an expected 4-8 weeks of blooms before going dormant for the winter.

Mums are cool weather plants and our 90 degree days can be rough on them. Keep them in partial shade and water regularly. This should help you keep blooms well into November.

If you think your mums need a little extra attention, you can always soak the plant in a bucket of water for approximately 30 minutes to saturate the root ball.

Once your blooms fall and the foliage turns brown, you can over-winter your plant until Spring. I like to wait until I see a few sprigs of green before I plant mine in the ground! Once planted, water occasionally and you mum will thrive!

We want to acknowledge Mama/Mamaw today on what would have been her 88th birthday. Because of her, beautiful flowers have always been a part of our lives. Her beautiful yard welcomed everyone, even the exterminator and meter readers would ask if they could sit and linger. Some perennials from her yard continue to bring us joy as they make their way into our bouquets. We think of her daily on 3 Flowers Farms and miss her dearly, but we know she is enjoying the perfect beauty of our God’s gardens, free of weeds and fire ants!

Wow what a response! We were not prepared for the excitement surrounding the mums! We are headed back for more!

We have decided to close preorders due to the overwhelming amount.

However, we will be FULLY STOCKED IN ALL COLORS on Saturday morning for eveyone.

If you have already commented, one of us will be reaching out to secure payment today. If you have not prepaid by tonight at 8pm, we will not be able to reserve your mum.

The farmstand will be open with BOUQUETS and MUMS.

We had an absolute blast at Deborah’s today and met so many new people!

The heat has the flowers popping so we will still have bouquets available today throughTuesday.

🌻🌻🌻This is the last week we will have sunflowers available for the season! These dark sunflowers are absolutely gorgeous and will sell out quickly.

It is too hot this weekend for the farmstand so we will we will schedule pickup/meet up thru Tuesday.
