Thank you to our friends at Hoyt Sherman Place for an educational and inspirational behind the scenes tour yesterday. Did you know they host over 100 main-stage events each year, upkeep a historic mansion that’s open for tours, and preserve an art gallery that’s open to the public?
Through its foundation, restoration, and revitalization, there is truly something for everyone to learn about and enjoy when visiting.

We will be closed on Tuesday, June 18th as staff will attend the Iowa Arts Summit for all-day professional development.

Attending this opportunity allows us to learn from influential Iowa leaders, including a keynote from Marshalltown's very own, Amber Danielson, Executive Director of the Arts + Culture Alliance.

We will resume normal business hours on Wednesday the 19th, 10 am - 4 pm.

🖼️ 🎨 The Classical Splash art contest has proven to be a great success, with 750 pieces submitted and 30 finalists chosen for recognition. We extend our congratulations to all the participants from Lenihan Intermediate School in Marshalltown.

We are grateful for the support of the MACC board, Lenihan art teacher Nick Beard, Marshalltown CSD staff, Marshalltown CSD orchestra students, and the students and their families. Your artistry and dedication are an inspiration to us all!
