I thought I should share a quick update, as I have not been as active as I should be on this page. My 2021 session calendar is fully booked into December for any private sessions. I have a contact list + full waitlist for holiday minis - these will begin booking in the next couple weeks. If I have spoken to you about a tentative newborn session, I still have you on my calendar as well.

Please forgive me for my late responses and any overlooked messages! I am working on going back through everything to see what I may have missed or opened and not responded to - sorry, mom brain is real here.

Thank you to all of my family, friends and clients for their continued support. I am so very grateful for all of you and all of your love!

April and Jocelyn were two of my first clients - ever. Soon came along Blake and little Everett. I am so grateful for all of them and the short, but meaningful times that I have spent with them over the years. Please keep them in your prayers as Blake prepares to leave for deployment in a few weeks. I look forward to his return and hopefully the opportunity to document that for them as well.

One more day for entries! 💙

Many of you know that my best friend lost her 5 year old son to flu related sepsis earlier this year. This weekend the girls are I are participating in the virtual Super Hero Run for the Love For Lochlin Foundation.

I will be raffling off TWO mini sessions to fundraise for the foundation. Entries will be $5 each or 5/$20. Payments can be made through Venmo -Hockman with the memo Love for Lochlin.

The raffle begins now and will end Tuesday, the 20th at noon. Winners will be announced that evening.

Please share so that we can raise more money for the foundation to help share flu and sepsis awareness and help give back to our local communities.

Sunday's forecast is now to 100% chance of rain. Tomorrow I will be messaging all those booked for Sunday's Fall minis to reschedule for Saturday the 17th.

At this time my fall calendar is fully booked into December (this does not apply to those I am currently discussing scheduling with, fall mini sessions or holiday mini sessions).

If you are on my list for fall minis, I will be checking in with you this week to get you scheduled! Holiday minis will be booked towards the end of October, for sessions in early November.

I have had many inquiries about the highly anticipated sunflower sessions. This summer’s high temperatures and limited rain has postponed the bloom date about 2 weeks later than I anticipated. I still have Labor Day weekend (Friday-Monday) set aside for sunflower minis and I am crossing my fingers that they will be ready! I am holding off on scheduling any sessions because of the unknown bloom date. I’ll be in touch with all those who are interested, as soon as I know if our weekend will work out as I had hoped and planned for this year. Thank you for your patience and I hope to see you all in the fields of sunshine very soon!

I miss you all! I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy during this strange time we are living in. I have had my camera out a lot during quarantine. Staying creative is one of the things that keeps me going forward and helps keep me in a good head space. Our daughters have been subject to many forced photo sessions, but not to worry, they are rewarded with bribery treats!

This is our most recent photo from this morning. I have been inspired by many other photographers who are doing the same image with their children. I want to document this time in as many different ways as possible, for us to look back on years down the road. This image really speaks to me and is so powerful.

I hope to see all of your smiling faces again, very soon

Update: COVID19

This is not an easy decision for me and I know it may not be the popular vote for most, but at this time I have decided to not book Orrs blossom minis as planned. I believe it is socially and morally irresponsible to bring all of my beloved clients and their families to a very populated outdoor location and possibly expose anyone, no matter how small the risk. I care deeply for each and every one of you and do believe we should be following the guidelines of social distancing, especially for anything that is not an absolute necessity. Other sessions (especially indoor) will most likely begin to be cancelled as we see how this all unfolds. This will be a hard hit, financially, for my family as well. Please know this is not something I “want” to do. (Insert tears - I really love what I do and this is all very hard for me to type)

I will begin messaging those on my contact lists regarding these changes as well.
