Ranak has completed the Advanced Program in Photography at PATHSHALA, South Asian Media Academy. He has also studied multimedia photojournalism in Egypt. Recently he has studied New Media and Journalism at the University of Washington giving him a better understanding of the people, institutions, and culture of the other parts of the world. In the year 2012, Ranak was nominated for ‘Joop Swart Masterclass’ organized by ‘World Press Photo’ the Netherlands. In the same year he was selected as a finalist in Roberto Villagraz scholarship of Photography – EFTI School of Photography and Image Centre, Madrid, Sapin.
