St Louis Elks Lodge #9 & The St Louis Elks Lodge #9 Veteran's Service Committee is hosting our Kayak with a Vet 5 on Sunday September 8th at the Creve Couer Lake Memorial Park Tremayne Shelter from 11a-3p. There will be an opening ceremony from 11-11:30a
Team River Runner (TRR) is an independent, non-profit, national organization, that gives service members (veterans and active duty) and their families/friends an opportunity to find health, healing, and new challenges through paddling sports. We have adaptive equipment to assist participants with physical disabilities.
This event is free for any Veteran's, Military Personnel, 1st Responders, and their immediate families to attend. We will have over "30" organizations to promote their services to those in need.
St Louis Elks Lodge #9 will also be promoting a few community programs: Veteran's Leather Program (see website link below), Drug Awareness Program (website link below), Youth Americanism Essay Contest (website link below), & the Missouri Elks Association Mobile Dental Unit (website link below). The Mobile Dental Unit is an RV retro-fitted to provide dental services in rural areas throughout Missouri for no & low income citizens; including disabled individuals. Recently Veteran's have been added to those we will provide dental care to.

St Louis Elks Lodge #9 wants thank Team River Runner STL, Mississippi River Water Trail, The Alpine Shop, and the many volunteers putting on the kayaking portion of the Kayak with a Vet 5 event. Having a Veteran's resource fair would not be the same without them being there.

Free dental exams for Veterans

The St. Louis Dental Center is hosting the Free Dental Exams for Veterans event on Saturday, July 13, from 7:30 - 11 a.m. Please bring a photo ID and your veteran certification form or VA card, walk-ins are welcomed until 11 a.m. and the Healthcare Outreach Team will be available to assist with Medicaid applications for uninsured adults. For additional information, please call 314.685.3553.

Today we celebrate our nation's freedom and honor the courageous men and women dedicated to preserving it. We are committed to serving all Veterans through our Outreach Center and transitional housing program so they have the support they need to live independent lives.
