When Lindsay came to me, she was in a predicament having been with another service that didn’t follow through on their promises. When I heard her vision, I was over the moon excited that she was going to trust me to fully pull together and execute her vision! There are multiple ways that you can have a sustainable wedding and these are just a few ways that are simple🌍 Go Digital - If you have a wedding website you’re ahead, but if you don’t, you won’t regret making one. Not only is this a great place to house all of your wedding information, but this is a great way to accept RSVPs for your wedding instead of an additional envelope and card. Depending on your guests, you can even do a digital save the date and invitation. Upgrade to the china and glass package - Using disposable plates and silverware can save you money, but it all goes into a landfill unless you’re getting recyclable or biodegradable. The china package is slightly more, but gets washed and reused (no landfill) and on the plus side, will elevate your wedding by leaps and bounds. Compost floral or donate - Flowers are a great item to add to a composting pile. If you don’t have access to a compost pile, you can always donate them to a local nursing home as well instead of throwing them away. Donate leftovers - Bring to go containers that are reusable or you can box everything up and donate them to a local police or fire department. Use linens instead of plastic covers - No explanation needed, USE A LINEN TABLECLOTH 😘 Use recylcable or biodegradeable paper products - If you choose to use any paper products, use one that can be recycled or is biodegradable. For water - Use refillable water jugs and fill glassware or recyclable cups rather than using bottled water. Favors - Pay the world forward by gifting seeds or plants as favors on your special day. 🌳
