Another year, another beautiful Maludy family film!
This year, we decided to explore the German Village! What is better than ice cream and a trip to the park?!
I'm so grateful that the Maludy's book a film session every year - they truly are a labor of love! A lot goes into creating a perfect family film. From countless hours finding the perfect song (for this particular film, I wanted something upbeat and carefree. For the Maludy fam, I also like to source female vocalists, which honestly, is a bit harder to find!)
After music has been selected, I start to piece the often DOZENS of little video clips that I have together. The key here is to put them in order in a way they makes sense and transitions you to all of parts of our adventure. This is the part that takes the longest. I often spend hours selecting clips to place them where I feel like they belong.
Once I have my film in place, I add all the little things that go unnoticed. Adding video transitions, applying a LUT file (this is similar to a filter or a preset in that it helps me add a better pop of color to my videos), making sure horizons are straight, and lastly, adding a logo!
It doesn't seem like much, but on average, I spend 8-10 hours creating each full-length film for my families! It truly is a steal for my families. Not only do you get beautiful pictures and a one-of-a-kind family film, but you also get lots of extra personalized time from me!

Full film sessions are booked for the remainder of the summer and fall - but - I do have full family film options available for the winter, as well as mini keepsake film availability to add on to your one hour outdoor session for the fall! Keepsake mini films (one minute films) are only $99+tax to add on to your one hour family sessions!

Those first days & weeks of new parenthood fly by so fast and it can feel like a blur

Sadly, we never get those first days back, no matter how hard we try to hold onto them. Time will just continue to pass by. This is why I love in-home newborn sessions, and even moreso, the newborn keepsake films that are included with every full newborn story, because when you baby is 2, 4, 8+ years old, you will continue to look back at these videos and be transported back to these first days of new life!

I had the pleasure of capturing a family film for the Neace family at our local zoo a couple of weeks back, and I am very excited to share it (and the waving stingray towards the end, omg!!)!
One of the fun things about family films is that you get a lot of creative control on what you want to capture, what's meaningful to you, and what you will want to look back on years from now to cherish. For some, it's a fun-packed adventure at the zoo, for others, it's baking, reading books, and relaxing at home as a family.
When you inquire about your very own family film, you will be asked a series of questions about how I can bring your family film dream to life, and we can also schedule a consultation to discuss your dream film in detail. It really is amazing!

- A planning consultation either by phone or email.
- 2-3 hours of session time, documenting your family as you go about your day.
- A 2-4 minute expertly crafted film paired to licensed music.
- An online photo gallery filled with beautiful photos from your session. (A minimum of 20!)
- A USB drive with your film & digital photos, as well as a wooden keepsake box. (You will also receive a digital file of your film to send to keep or send to family and friends)

There's just something so special about documenting life in real time that a photo just doesn't quite capture. Little feet wiggling, fingers gripping, older sibling giving baby a kiss... ah, my heart just floods with joy watching it all happen on my screen.
