Raise your hand if your family has been personally victimized by a virus this week 🙋‍♀️

It's taken me almost an entire week to get up to my office and edit two gorgeous newborn galleries because I legitimately thought my life was coming to an end, but, I'm happy to say that we are all on the upswing over here and two very special families are going to have their galleries tomorrow!

Speaking of newborns, April/May and June due dates are fully booked, however, I do have availability for July-September!

100% not doing okay knowing our beloved high school sitter of almost 4 years is going to be graduating this year!

We love our Marilyn so, so much! She's been with our family since she was 14, taking care of my little Maddie while I worked from home.

We are so grateful to have had all of these incredible years and memories with her, and I am so excited to watch her journey into nursing school and adulthood!

I've spent the better part of my day doing things that bring me joy; editing, sewing (ooh! check my stories to see the Easter baskets I made my daughter and niece!), and taking time to relax (aka, finding more sewing projects on tiktok). I know it may be hard to believe, but I have a really hard time relaxing! My ADHD brain is always thinking of things that I need to do.

But, it was such a good, cozy weekend. Probably the best I've had in a really long time. It's left me feeling reenergized, and I'm really excited for another busy week of family sessions!

I hope your weekend has been wonderful too!

Yesterday, I had to opportunity to photograph a couple of really wonderful friends of ours. In between sessions, I managed to snap a couple of photos of my own little goober!

On very seldom occasions, she has accompanied me to sessions for really close friends and family, and if I'm being honest, she's a great little assistant!

I just love this little extrovert!

Erik was an absolute ham, cracking me up from the moment we met! He told me he didn't like taking photos, and that mom wanted him to do it, but he was a delight the whole time! Little sis even got in on the fun!

Oh my gosh, it's been a minute, hasn't it?!

Since I broke my hand last month, I've spent a lot of time trying to find ways to be creative at home since I haven't been able to work. I started with sewing random, little things with help from my husband, who was kind enough to cut the fabric. I've made bows, little pencil bags, as well as a bandana for my pup. I even became a mother to a sourdough starter and have surprisingly have kept it alive for a few weeks now! While it was difficult to take the time off of work, I've really enjoyed resting and I am so excited to get back to work in a couple of weeks!!

Next month, I hope to add availability for daffodil sessions, and possibly even tulips (if you are open to a drive!), once we have an idea of bloom schedule.

Hi Sara Bee friends and family.

Two nights ago I fell and broke my dominant hand leaving me unable to photograph, edit, upload galleries and drive.

I've been messaging all of my January clients to offer reschedules and refunds and I'll be reaching out to some of my February clients after my orthopedic appointment later this week.

I'm incredibly upset and heartbroken over this, but I'm truly so grateful for the support and kind words I've received from so many of you.

I'll be off my business social media the rest of this month and part of February until I am healed. Once I return I plan to announce spring sessions, motherhood mini's, 2026 senior sessions and possibly the first half of summer availability.

I genuinely can't wait to see your families again!

Another year, another beautiful Maludy family film! This year, we decided to explore the German Village! What is better than ice cream and a trip to the park?! I'm so grateful that the Maludy's book a film session every year - they truly are a labor of love! A lot goes into creating a perfect family film. From countless hours finding the perfect song (for this particular film, I wanted something upbeat and carefree. For the Maludy fam, I also like to source female vocalists, which honestly, is a bit harder to find!) After music has been selected, I start to piece the often DOZENS of little video clips that I have together. The key here is to put them in order in a way they makes sense and transitions you to all of parts of our adventure. This is the part that takes the longest. I often spend hours selecting clips to place them where I feel like they belong. Once I have my film in place, I add all the little things that go unnoticed. Adding video transitions, applying a LUT file (this is similar to a filter or a preset in that it helps me add a better pop of color to my videos), making sure horizons are straight, and lastly, adding a logo! It doesn't seem like much, but on average, I spend 8-10 hours creating each full-length film for my families! It truly is a steal for my families. Not only do you get beautiful pictures and a one-of-a-kind family film, but you also get lots of extra personalized time from me! Speaking of films. Full film sessions are booked for the remainder of the summer and fall - but - I do have full family film options available for the winter, as well as mini keepsake film availability to add on to your one hour outdoor session for the fall! Keepsake mini films (one minute films) are only $99+tax to add on to your one hour family sessions!
