“After about a year of planning, we celebrated our daughter’s Sweet 16 this past wkd. Melanie was so easy to work with, responded quickly, dealt with all my questions & requests(there were many lol), and was calm & friendly. The staff was very attentive, down to earth& happy. The food was amazing- the guests all raved! The ballroom was beautiful & spacious enough for almost 160 guests. We would recommend to anyone looking to have an amazing event! The Reception Center by Mayer Catering in Matawan is currently hiring Banquet Servers and Bartenders for an upcoming busy spring season. Availability to work Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and some weekdays maybe required. You are not expected to work all 3 days of weekend.
Experience is not required, but preferred. Please stop in Tuesday through Saturday to fill out application.

“I can’t say enough things about The Reception Center and their team!!! We had such a fabulous time at our own wedding and we owe it all to Marybeth and her staff. The staff is incredible. So attentive, made sure everything was perfect. It all went better and smoother than I could have ever imagined. From start to finish, the planning process, communication, help with finding vendors, dealing with last minute requests from us with a smile and a YES. Everyone who attended said the food was incredible (I wish I had eaten more, I wouldn’t have eaten at all most likely had it not been for the staff! They made me a plate and made me sit for 5 minutes and eat something, so grateful to them for that!) We had such an unbelievable time at our own wedding because we never had to think of a thing once it got started!
This place is amazing and the most reasonably priced place we found to boot. They could easily charge more and it would still be worth it. I can’t thank them enough for giving us such an extraordinary evening through all of their hard work. It was an amazing night and they made it happen!
