Archer's body language screams, "get mom off of me."🙃 I promise he loves me.😂

After my sessions today, I am officially on winter break until January 5th! I will be editing as much as possible over the next few days (and after Christmas)! I did have a couple of clients reach out to pay an expediting fee to get their galleries before Christmas, so I am getting those galleries taken care of, but then I am right back to weddings! I'll be slightly slower to respond over my break, but be patient with me, and I promise I will get back to you! I've got some posts scheduled for your viewing pleasure while I'm away, but I need a little breather after the busy season.🥹

Also thank you to anyone that has sent me a Christmas card! I LOVE receiving them, as they stay on my wall all year round. Ya'll are way too sweet to me!🥹 I hope everyone has the BEST holidays!❤

I somehow haven't posted on my socials in a week.😬 That's just because I'm dedicated to getting as many galleries out as possible before the holidays, but the break from here has been kind of nice. Speaking of breaks, reminder that my winter break starts soon!

I will be out of office from December 21st-January 4th (minus a couple of previously scheduled sessions). I will not be taking any other sessions on during this time. As ya'll may or may not know, I suffer from seasonal depression, and it hits around mid December without fail every year, so this will be a bit of a reset time for me so I can come back and give 100%. It will also allow me time to mindlessly edit away and hopefully get fully caught up on 2024 projects.

Now that the little PSA is out of the way, look at how adorable these two are.😍

Today is the LAST day to request images for Christmas cards! The post office cut off to get cards shipped out in time for Christmas is the 18th, so plan accordingly! This mostly applies to my November clients since we have gotten everything else out and all wedding clients waiting already have their sneak galleries.

I always prioritize the quality of my art rather than speed, so I appreciate my clients for appreciating my art enough to keep coming back and referring me to their friends! I also appreciate my past self for extending my contract deadlines and the countless other changes this year to give myself peace of mind.🙌 My clients this year have been absolutely INCREDIBLE, and this has been my best year yet.❤

Also reminder that I save all client cards and save the dates for the wall collage in my office at the studio and I would love to get your Christmas cards! I don't think I will ever have the words to describe just how perfect Jordan and Hallie's wedding day was. Surrounded by love and surrounded by faith, they exchanged their vows in a beautiful Catholic church ceremony, followed by a lively reception that was truly the best kind of party. From the joyful "I dos" to the celebratory toasts, this special day was filled with laughter, tears, and endless happiness. That's a wrap! 25 Christmas mini sessions shot, edited, and sent out!❤

Huge thank you to Jesse for all his help with editing so we could get these out in time for Christmas card season! What a crazy two weeks. Now, we're shifting gears back to our regularly scheduled editing, and we aim to tackle those galleries just as quickly! Also reminder that message responses are delayed while we focus solely on editing, please be patient!

In the meantime, look at my favorite little family.🥹 My niece and nephew are THE cutest kids, you can't change my mind. Very sweet, very squeezable, very squirmy getting their pictures taken.😂

Thank you to everyone who came to see me this year for Christmas pictures! This was the biggest year for them yet. This couch would not have been possible without you!🥹😂 I'll post some more cuties around Christmas so I don't spoil any Christmas card surprises!❤

Can we just appreciate how CUTE my boys are?!🥹 Archer on the left, Mac on the right. Sporting their matching Nightmare Before Christmas collars because they're feeling festive, but not enough to deal with sweater shenanigans.😂

Anyway, the real reason we're here is so I can pop in with an update! I am working on finishing up my August weddings and the last summer videos currently. Please don't talk to me this week so I can focus. Kidding, kind of.😂 Jesse is working on getting the second round of Christmas mini sessions out by Monday, and has already sent out a couple! We only have 1 October gallery left, and then 10 November galleries. We are going to tag team those once we are finished with the things we are currently working on, but these weddings and Christmas are first priority. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer!

Also I have blocked off the last two weeks of December and first week of January. I will be taking this extra time to solely focus on whatever editing still needs done, and will be spending time with my nearest and dearest for the holidays! I will not be as responsive to messages during this time so I can mentally reset. I also will not be scheduling any other sessions during this time. If you are already on the schedule, we are still good to go!

Again, thank you to my clients for believing in me, for being patient, and for simply being the BEST. I can't wait to share the rest of these galleries that I have poured my heart and soul into. Much love to you all!❤

Time for a November recap and a photo dump!☺️ I can't believe the year is almost over, but I've almost kept up with a full year of these monthly updates, so go me!

• Photographed 1 wedding, 1 graduation, 5 couples/engagements, 2 maternity, 2 families, 20 Christmas Mini Sessions, had 1 photo booth event, and 1 studio rental.
• Nev photographed her first (mostly) solo session!

✨Personal Highlights✨
• Saw two comedy shows this month. Jaime French in Chicago with Nev, and Theo Von in Champaign with Jesse.
• Ate way too much chili.
• Celebrated my friend, Shelby's birthday at Triptych.
• Got sick and stayed home for a week.
• Spent time with family for the holidays.
• Celebrated Chelsey's birthday with Fujiyama, a game night, and DQ ice cream cake.
• Spent most of my spare time cuddled up with the animals while listening to podcasts or audiobooks and editing.

I didn't do much this month between being sick and trying my hardest to get caught up on editing, but it was nice to see most of my favorite people this month for Thanksgiving. I am ready for a slow December so I can hopefully finish up everything in my editing queue. I seriously appreciate everyone for being so patient! Much love to you all!❤

We've got another day FULL of Christmas mini sessions!☺

Emails with details were sent out, but just as a reminder, please be aware of your appointment time and do NOT be late. I will not be able to accommodate any tardiness or reschedules due to a full schedule! Please do NOT arrive more than 5 minutes early, as my lobby can get a little cramped.

The studio is located at 1413 Wabash Ave, Mattoon. You can find it on maps if you type in Forevermore Photography. It is a large black and white building next to the church on the corner. Do NOT park in the church parking lot beside the building, you will be towed by the church owner. Please park on Wabash Ave. in front of the building. If you do park behind the building like normal, you will need to walk around front, as the back door will remain locked during the event. You will enter through the front door facing Wabash, next to the mailboxes on the wall (the porch has large pillars).

If you attended the mini event last weekend, make sure to check your email! Jesse has edited and sent out 6/8 galleries, but will have the other two finished and sent out tonight! Turnaround for the event this week will be the 8th so that clients will have time to print their cards before the holiday. I would be even more behind without him, so bless his heart for putting in the work for you to all have your images for Christmas!

I appreciate everyone being patient during Christmas card time. This is always one of the most chaotic times of the year, but I love seeing all your smiling faces!❤️

Throughout 2022 and 2023, Nev was constantly following me around and filming for practice so she could better document wedding days. We kept saying we would make behind the scenes content, or side project videos for fun, but never did. Most of those files are gone at this point because it was a lot to hang onto forever. Social media is hard, and it's wild that being a photographer in these times means you have to be a content creator as well. It isn't an easy job, so kudos to all the Youtubers, Influencers, etc. that do it on a daily basis. Anyway, here's one of those side projects that actually made it through. We had so much fun documenting this birthday party, and getting to celebrate alongside the whole crew.😊

What are some reasons as to why should you have a Photo Booth at your wedding? Lemme tell you.👀👇1.) Having a photo booth for your wedding is a great way to make sure you’re getting authentic pictures of every guest. Not everyone will do formal portraits with the wedding photographer, but they’ll likely visit the photo booth for a fun group picture or selfie. Even those who feel decline being photographed by the photographer will spend the night at the booth taking selfies because they feel more comfortable! 2.) Photo booths can keep your guests occupied, especially during cocktail hour! Keeping guests entertained is important so you can keep the party going! 3.) It’s a fun keepsake to take home!
