This style of shot is becoming more popular in wedding photography. I like it for two reasons. I like it aesthetically, it’s a cool shot. But I also like it because a photo is worth 1000 words and this is how your wedding day can feel. A blur, come and gone too fast.

Here are a few tips to make sure you soak up every moment on wedding day!

1. Don’t drink too much.
2. Practice being present-you can do this simply by connecting with each of your senses.
3. Make sure you have eaten and stay hydrated.
4. This is a big one, take some alone time with your new spouse. You can have a private moment after the ceremony or plan for a private dinner, but you need some time to just “be married” before you are pulled in all the directions.
5. Finally, of course this one is on the list, hire a wedding day professional. They will ensure everything is in place and that you don’t have to lift a finger!

The top trends I am most looking forward to in 2024!

1. Color! While white is and will always be a classic and timeless style, I just love color! You live a vibrant life, so your wedding celebration should be the same!

2. Less florals and/or Bud vases. I’m a sucker for them, I had them at my wedding. They are simple and elegant and you can add your own personal style to them with colors and textures!

3. Personalization. Make your wedding all about your favorites! Was your first date and every anniversary dinner at the same restaurant? Serve one of your favorites from there! Do you enjoy traveling? Incorporate your favorite destinations as your table designations. You could take it a step further and use travel luggage tags as es**rt cards and they double as a favor! I will die on this hill, your wedding is about you, there is no wrong way to celebrate!

54% of couples overspend on their wedding...

We read recently that more than half of couples end up going over their proposed wedding budget so we thought we'd share three quick tips to make sure this doesn't happen to YOU 💕

1. Set an IDEAL budget and a MAXIMUM budget. Your *ideal* should be 3-5% less than your *maximum.* Base your goals and parameters for costs on the ideal budget so that you have the cushion in your maximum budget - just in case unexpected expenses come up or you fall in love with a vendor/venue that's a little more than you planned.

2. Allocate 40% of your budget for venue, food, and beverage. If you are booking the venue separately from the catering, spend no more than 25% of your total budget on the venue. This IS how much room you will need for everything else, trust us!

3. Hire a wedding planner. Not only will a wedding planner guide you through the very best ways to allocate your budget, they also know the best vendors in the business within your price range!

It might be too early to speculate… Or it might not!

Keeping our finger on the pulse of the wedding industry, here are some trends we see continuing on into 2024 and beyond ✨

1. Micro Weddings: since 2020, many couples have opted for smaller, more intimate weddings. And we LOVE it! This trend may continue into 2024, with couples focusing on creating meaningful experiences with a limited number of guests.

2. Destination Weddings: With a desire for unique experiences, couples may continue to choose destination weddings in picturesque locations that also offer the option of a multi day celebration.

3. Personalization: Couples are seeking to make their weddings more personal and reflective of their unique personalities. We are seeing this in customized vows, personalized signage, unique wedding favors, and interactive experiences for guests.

4. Non-traditional Wedding Attire: Traditional white wedding dresses are being replaced by more unconventional choices. Brides are opting for colored gowns, jumpsuits, separates, and unconventional styles that reflect their personal taste!

5. COLOR! It’s no secret that the number one wedding trend of 2023 includes bright florals and decor. As for us here at A Toast, we are perfectly happy to see this trend continue ☺️
