This is what happens to sunflowers. You make the bouquet when they are just starting to open & in a few days they open to this glory 🌻I cropped the picture & got a close up of their beauty. I have several more of these I’m planning to make wraps with to sell at our flower stand on Saturday along with my son’s veggies. I will give details tomorrow 🌻

This is the first time I’ve even grown lisianthus. I want to pick this bloom so much. But I’ve learned that once you cut it the rest of the blooms won’t open. So you have to wait for some more to open before you harvest it. It’s also suppose to be a pale pink. I can’t wait to make a bouquet with it & dahlias. They say it can last in a vase up to 2 weeks 🌸

Lisianthus has finally bloomed open today on our nations birthday. I started these from seed on 1/13/24. Took over 5 months for them to bloom. Wow, what a challenge. What a pleasant surprise after the storm past thru & gave us 70’s for the temp 🇺🇸🤍❤️💙

This cute pink bouquet is a gift from to a sweet miracle baby girl turning one this week. Her vase matches the birthday theme “One in a melon 🍉 “ I LOVE PINK 🌸 made a new table scape, redecorated my tier try with a floral theme. Also took advantage of great weather & planted Autumn Beauty Sunflowers & Cosmos for fall bouquets 🌻🌸

Potted some herbs I bought recently, then planted 2 redbud saplings & 1 dogwood. I hope they live. I’ve wanted a dogwood for years. That’s not my wisteria. A neighbor’s. I lost mine 2 winters ago.

Picked & made a tulip bouquet today. Also planted Pepper seeds for J’s garden & then transplanted basil seedlings for greenery in bouquets this season 🌿

Visited Clarita Greenhouse, cut & made Rachel an early tulip bouquet for her birthday in my new Lady vase, J added 3 more beds to make 9 in the front. Very nice road trip day & 5 bouquets made my first full week of retirement 💐

It was a very productive day. Got another tulip bouquet made & planted my Queen of Sweden David Austin Rose. Also planted a successful winter sown, Nasturtium.
