fer has worked for Flower Shops since 1988. In 2017 she decided to open her own Flower Shop and jh Events and Flowers was born. Jennifer has also been an Adjunct Faculty Member for the Horticulture Department at McHenry County College since 1998. She served as a Board Member for the Performing Arts Booster at McHenry High School for 6 years while her children were enrolled there. Once her children graduated she stepped down off the board to become a McHenry Chamber Board Member in 2020. jh Events and Flowers specializes in custom Floral Designs for all occasions. Everyday Designs, Birthdays, Sympathy, Anniversaries, Weddings, Baby and Wedding Showers, Prom, and Homecoming. We also have a full retail Storefront to display all our Gift Items in.

Got flowers?
Hereā€™s how to keep them gorgeous as long as possibleā€”save this for later!

Hand-Tied Bouquets (wrapped/loose stems)
Unwrap + keep the tie on (it holds the shape).
Clean vase + cool water. Stir in flower food.
Trim Ā½" off stems at an angle(NO SCISSORS). Remove any leaves below the water line.
Place away from heat, direct sun, drafts, and fruit (ethylene = early wilting).
Refresh: change water if it becomes murky.

Vase Arrangements
Top up water daily (flowers drink a lot!).
Refresh: if water becomes murky.
If you see floral foam (the green block), keep water level to the top of the foam every day.

Remove any spent blooms/leaves to keep the water clean.
Quick Revive Tips
ā€¢ Keep cool overnight for extra longevity.
ā€¢ Use the second packet of flower food if/when you change the water.
