CONGRATULATIONS to our McHenry Community High School student winners for the McHenry American Legion Auxiliary Post 491 POPPY POSTER CONTEST! These winners represent: 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.
There were very strict contest rules, in order for posters to qualify and ALL of the art students that participated this year did an absolutely amazing job. It was so hard to pick just once from each grade!! These (4) posters have been sent to The Department of Illinois American Legion Auxiliary for our upcoming Department Convention in July, where winning posters will be voted on to move forward to the National Convention in August. We are SO very proud of these students and truly appreciate their participation!!!

In support of THE FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION, for EVERY ANTI-HERO draft that is sold, The McHenry American Legion Post 491 will DONATE $1 to THE FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION from now thru the entire month of MAY. The Fisher House Foundation primarily focuses on the construction of comfort homes designed to provide temporary lodging for family members of active military members and veterans while they receive treatment from V.A. hospitals and clinics. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT of this amazing veteran's foundation!!
