Guys this page is getting covered up with spam and repetitive post such that facebook switched to preapproval required. Some of your posts have been missed by me until the event you wanted to promote was over. Barefoot Terri has agreed to help out to fix this problem. That said I would like to make some guidelines. We don't want the same ads over and over. When you post an update to prices or menus, tell us something about you or your business, and make us want to read rather than post what would go on a sign. If you are selling shrimp, tell folks about your boat today, your captain in a day or so and complain about the cost of fuel or nets or sharks. Make it informative, not political. Don't attack people or parties. If you are promoting a church event, do so, but don't preach.
Note I said guidelines not rules. 4 posts in the same week won't get you banned. 7 might, or might not. Duplicate posts won't get you banned but if we get bored with you we may decline to post.

Terry Layson, Barefoot Terri and others that point out scam posts...THANK YOU. They are coming fast and furious this time of year. I am doing the standard "delete and ban" on a daily basis, but sometimes something slips through.
Also, if you have a business and you post here on a regular basis with an ad and no other interaction, it could happen to you. This is a place to share what is great about our community and an ad is a good way to do that, once. A new ad every week but nothing talking about a good service rendered by someone else makes us a billboard, not a community. Get with the program and say something good about someone else.

With a new storm churning in the Atlantic it is a good time to check on some weather tools. I recommend three.
The first is weather.gov. This is the official site of the national weather service.
The second is https://blogenkiops.wordpress.com/ This guy is one that a lot of industry turns to for clear no nonsense best guesses. He is good and he is not hampered by having to get a "consensus" when he thinks he is right. (People pay him to be right, not agree with others or hem and haw with what they already know and that hurricane predictions are never going to be perfect.
The third link is Ventuski.com. This gives you real time info and the ability to play with a lot of the raw data as well as look at forecasts.
Network news likes to give you "highest winds" and the like. Ventusky lets you look at the storm at various altitudes and find actual winds. (Networks like to sell raincoats and umbrellas but this site lets you actually look at what the windspeeds are at different elevations. If a hurricane is top speeds of 80 mph, yet at 10 meters elevation the speeds are only 40, I want to know that. This tool gives that ability.
