We are so grateful that you are participating in the Welcome to Texas Celebration, tomorrow, Saturday, from 4-8 PM in the Show Barn at Myers Park, McKinney.

The first 200 people inside get a free cowboy hat.

Please note that the barn has a dirt floor. The dirt is compacted, but it is suggested that you wear close-toed shoes - but completely up to you. Dress comfortably and casually.

For those who ordered In-N-Out, please note that the In-N-Out cooker semi-truck will be onsite cooking at the start of the event at 4 PM and departing at 5:30 PM. The BBQ vendor will be onsite for the entire duration of the event.

We encourage all guests to arrive at the start time of the event, which is 4 PM.

In addition to over 25 vendors, we have a military recruiter onsite, a bounce house, a photo book, a BBQ vendor, a slushy vendor, a raffle, a DJ, and dance lessons. The highlight of the day will be a huge group swearing-in of new Texans by the Collin County Sheriff. Each new Texan (or, one per family) received a certificate. A calligrapher will inscribe your name (or family name) on each certificate after the swearing-in, plus other surprises.

Parents, please watch your kids on the bounce house. It will be inside the barn as well, but please monitor the children as we cannot be held responsible.

We truly hope you enjoy this event. This has been organized by an all-volunteer group and they have worked incredibly hard on this amazing event.

Free parking. You may want to bring cash should you choose to make additional purchases on-site, or our entrance team can help with credit card purchases of additional meals and raffle tickets.
