Unpopular opinion… Winter is for resting. While my heart appreciates everyone’s grand plans and to-do lists (I’m a Capricorn, believe me…) I can’t help but find the timing strange. I’m gonna wait for spring to post any resolutions… when signs of life emerge from the depths of winter, so will I. But not until after a much needed hibernation from this season. And real question, Were the holidays extra holidaying this year?? Ok thanks. Chat in the spring. Byeeeee. 😊

The countdown to wreath workshops is upon us! This year I am teaching 4 public wreath making classes. Be sure to grab yourself a spot. Only a few spaces remain. It’s my favorite season and I’m out walking around foraging a lot. Trying to make a mental map of the perfect greens to return to for evergreen wreath making. My dream is to one day live on a property that has a wide variety of trees to prune and source for my projects… and to also have a persimmon tree one day too! They’re my favorite. 🤩 Let me know if you happen to live on a tree farm and need some help pruning your trees!! I have so many workshops to gather for this year.

Im so happy to announce that we’ll be offering two more workshops this year! One option will be on Saturday 11/30 from 2-4, in their greenhouse. I will be providing hot chocolate!
And the other option will be on Sunday 12/8 from 1:30-3:30pm at their North location! We will be offering a glass of wine!

Hi! I’m Katie, the owner of Dearhouse Collective. I’ve been quiet on socials for a minute as I was focusing on my baby girl and helping my partner open a pizza shop! We are having a very busy year, to say the least. Well, I’m just saying hello. But also, I’m ready to create again. So if you’re looking to collaborate or want some installations in your home, studio, office or winery- message me! I’ve been dusting the cobwebs off and creating in my own studio for my own projects and I feel ready to come back to Dearhouse after having my baby. Thank you for allowing me all the time I needed to be with her!
Oh- also… remember the wreath workshops I used to teach? Those will be back. So stay tuned because I’ll post some info about when and where soon. 💋

For those of us with incomes, I would love to heart about which small businesses you are supporting this holiday season! I know the allure of Amazon and “Black Friday” discounts are approaching… but I just wanted to share a little bit about what supporting ‘small business’ actually means. For Dearhouse, it means you are supporting a single momma and two teens. (who are constantly growing and eating!) You are supporting the ability to work flexibly for our family dynamic and providing the access to a warm, cozy and safe home to exist peacefully in!
I am so thankful for the support I receive for my business and never take it for granted. This season I am busy teaching wreath workshops, and with each person that signs up I feel so thankful and do a little happy dance.
