This is for my rural, farming friends.
I have an idea I’m working on. As I married into a family who did a lot of farming I got to see firsthand a lot of the blood, sweat, and tears people always talked about that goes into farming. I’ve always respected what farmers do but I got a good view on it the last 7 years or so. Spending time out at my in-law’s farm brought a new appreciation and special memories, including early relationship memories with my boyfriend/fiancé/now husband. :) I started taking my camera out to the farm often just to try to freeze some memories and help me remember that special time. I got to capture several harvests, field suppers, relationship building, problem solving, and God’s handiwork in nature. Andrew even videoed some harvests on his drone for his parents. Recently I’ve had some creativity spark, and also saw an example from another photographer about doing “farming lifestyle” sessions, where I’d come out for an hour or two and just capture these rural families in their natural lifestyle, kind of documentary style. Not a ton of posing, except maybe a few family photos, etc. Just photos so you can remember and pass on generational knowledge and memories. I know a lot of farming is generational farming and I would love to capture these moments that seem to be gone in an instant. With the new year I’ll give one of these sessions at half off, to the first person to book with me, and to use at any time in 2024. Message me if this sounds like something you’d love to have done! These photos would be priceless for your family! Feel free to share with any friends or family who would be interested in a session like this!
