Who We Are...
Hello, my name is Randi. My husband Josh and I got married at his family property in June 2018 with 450 of our “closest” friends and family. When the farm is not a working cattle ranch, the Schmidt’s have hosted countless graduation parties, birthday parties, no reason parties, and weddings of all sizes. Josh’s family always knew the farm was a special place for events because everyone that left says its the “best party they’ve ever been to.” What can we say, we know how to have a good time :)
From the moment Josh and I got engaged in 2017, we set out to start collecting all the pieces that we had dreamt of for our wedding. I realized I inherited my grandmother’s passion for collecting antiques, and hunting through shelves of Goodwills and estate sales everywhere we went. We either purchased or created almost every detail from the wedding. From hand painted signs, oil lamps, wood burning name markers for our head table, antique silverware, crystal glasses, spool tables, antique furniture, and everything in between. We knew most people wouldn’t notice the effort, but we didn’t care. Josh was the idea man and muscle. He collected wine barrels, built pallet tables, created a chandelier out of a wagon wheel, built our arch from railroad ties, hand laid stone and moss for us to stand on at the alter, built a keg wall, and countless other projects.
With LOTS of help from our families and friends, we turned the farm into our dream wedding venue. We faced torrential downpours, lightening storms, bee stings, scrapes and bruises, broken ribs, trucks stuck in the mud, painting parties, long work days, rainbows after the storm, delirious laughter, wine nights, and many new memories. We loved every minute of it. Now that the wedding is over, we knew we had this amazing place that deserves to be shared with the rest of Spokane. Things get a little bit western on the farm, but that’s half the fun of it.
If you are an adventurous bride and groom that wants somewhere new and fresh for a venue, we would love to hear how we can make your wedding dreams come true. Looking for couples that love to have a good time and care for each other the way we care about the farm. We also are offering rentals for weddings or events not taking place at the farm. Keep an eye out for inventory and prices! Or if you need help procuring items we’d love to help :)
