Update: The last day to get that holiday to-go order in for Thanksgiving will be Wednesday November 16th! The rate for these meals are $15 a person! Let us take care of your family meal this year!! Text or call Amy at 304-646-9825 to reserve your meal!

We've got some exciting news Sandstone!! Sandstone General Store & Eatery is expanding! As many of you have noticed there have been alot of changes happening around here! This week we are officially launching our satellite commercial kitchen in Dawson. This is an answered prayer and only made possible because of our partnerships within the Communities of Healing family! Thank you so much to Tammy Jordan of Fruits of Labor and James Phillips of Seed Sowers for your continued support and encouragement! You two have been such an inspiration and this partnership means more to us than we could ever explain.
Ruth Ellen- Her catering experience comes from working at the Beckley Convention Center, Tamarack and Gordon Food Service. We have also added Ruth Ellen McClure to our team, you may know her from The Bridge in Meadow Bridge and Glade Springs.

So what does this mean for Sandstone General Store & Eatery?? This means you will start to see new lunch & dinner specials, a wider variety of grab n go foods and a improvement to the menu and the quality of the food we will be offering! We have also added catering services! Please keep us in mind for all you catering needs through this holiday season, we will be offering full holiday dinners to go, company lunches and much more!! We will also be offering meal delivery services to the local airbnbs in the community!

This also means that we will be creating many more job opportunities for the community. We are proud to soon be offering job training and job opportunities for residents in the community that have completed a substance abuse recovery program. We are establishing a recovery friendly work environment and will serve as a training facility for residents in recovery to re-enter the workforce. We will also offer job training and employment opportunities for at risk youth and teens aging out of the WV foster care system.

We are so grateful and happy to be serving this community, we thank you for all your support and patience as we have been training our new team and getting through these growing pains. Our customers and our community are incredible!!

My hearts desire from the first day we landed on the location for the chapel was to have white scissor trusses with 8/12 pitch on top and 4/12 on the bottom. I was dead set on these to help give that open cathedral feel and frame the natural setting found in Grassy Meadows! I regretted the “scissor truss decision” a time or 21 but that view 😍 especially in the fall! Thank you to Gary from 84 Lumber Company for all of your help with these! We’re gonna have some beautiful moments captured here!

Chad and the crew stopped by yesterday to finish up the bracing, roof and trim! So thankful for these guys and look at those leaves turning 😍

🌲Couple Spotlight🌲
The time has come for these two beautiful people to become one tomorrow! Korey and Kayla are two of the MOST caring people you will find on God’s green earth and we are so excited for their special day tomorrow! Here’s a couple things you might not know about them! Korey’s favorite roller coaster is Pantheon, favorite gum is 5 Wintergreen and if he could be any Villian from a comic he would choose Victor Von Doom 🦾 Makayla’s favorite drink is “probably ” favorite scent is anything vanilla and favorite thing to grow in the garden is “probably pumpkin” 🎃 We are so excited to welcome these two as our very first couple to get married at the chapel, and we are especially grateful because their hands have helped build this place from the start! 🕊️🌲 | 📸: Kelly Smith
