I’ve noticed a lot of new faces here so I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself!

Hi! My name is Makenzie, owner/operator of Carolina Event Masters. I started this business as a way to not only be able to spend more time with my daughter but to also have a creative outlet for my type A tendencies 😂

A little about me personally- I prefer movies over books 🎥 I’ll come up with any excuse to get coffee ☕️ and I love to crochet in my spare time! 🧶

I’m recently I bride myself so I TOTALLY know what you’re going through with trying to plan your best day ever. I’ve been in your shoes! 👰‍♀️

I’m naturally organized and LOVE logistics, which was a huge draw for me to the wedding industry. Every couple needs that one key player in their corner that not only understands what they need but also knows the venue/vendors like it’s no one else’s business ♥️

My goal for every wedding is to relieve as much stress as possible for the couple, to be the go-to gal for all questions, and to be prepared for any possibility! ✅

Name changing, where to start and what order to do it in?

Sure, there’s paid services that advertise making the process easier, but it still does not eliminate the need to physically show up at some of the offices that require you to be in person.

It may seem daunting, but the process these days is very streamlined! This is a helpful visual I provide all my couples to help understand what order to go in.

My best advice during the entire process? Patience is key 🔑! It takes time for some systems to update and it can be frustrating waiting for everything to go through. But trust that it’ll all come together and it’ll be a done process!

Tip of the Week: 🌹 Floral Arrangements 🌹
What do I do with all of my live florals AFTER the wedding?

Easy! Here’s a few options 👇
-Preserve them! That’s right! There’s many different methods to preserving your live floral arrangements, from being cast in resin to being dried and arranged on a canvas. The options are endless when it comes to admiring your memories for years to come!

-Donate them! This is my personal favorite option. This gives you the opportunity to spread the joy to others, giving your arrangements more life! You can donate to any number of places that accept them, a few to think about: meals on wheels, hospice centers, nursing homes. The up side with donating is that you can donate ALL the florals from your wedding, from your bouquet to your centerpieces! None will go to waste!

Tip of the Week: 🎇Sparkler Send Offs🎇
If opting to use sparklers for your send off at the end of the night, remember these 2 tips:

1- make sure to use the extra long sparklers, aim for the 36” over the 10”. The reason for this is because you only get one use out of a sparkler so you need to get the most out of it! Once the first sparkler is lit the clock starts ticking! You don’t want the first sparkler going out by the time the last sparkler is lit.

2- make sure you have a bucket (or two) filled about half way with sand nearby. It will be where all guests can safely dispose of their sparklers once the send off is complete. Whether their sparkler went out or not the sand is always a safety measure just in case! No such thing as being too careful!
