This years group of seniors felt a lot different. Watching kids that grew up with yours become adults has a way of wrecking the hardest of hearts. I took most of this winter off. So long I didn’t realize my work email got disconnected from my website, so apologies if you reached out in any form and I haven’t responded. I’ll be catching up on messages here this week but please don’t hesitate to double text….

I didn’t realize the emotional toll your babies growing up and graduating takes on you. My body needed a reset. My heart needed the extra time with the kids. And my brain needed to slow down on saying yes to too many things.
But I’m slowly coming back. I opened my scheduling again. I’m saying yes to a select few weddings. And I’m ready to create some art.

Thanks for sticking around. This year is already so different and I’m really proud of the changes being made. 🖤

As I plan for summer/fall and even into the 2024 wedding season I will be making a few changes to my schedule. The reality is hitting me that this fall will be my last season getting to watch my oldest play soccer so evenings and weekends will be in short supply. Along with end of may and june 2024 for graduation festivities. In planning for that I will extend $100 minis through the summer until soccer season starts but I will be cutting out most morning availability (there will still be some morning spots open but not very many!) and only offering evening sessions. I’m so sorry if this creates any issues and I really appreciate all of you who continue to support me!

Went and married my best friend in the desert 🌵

But I’m back to reality and the sunshine this last weekend has me so excited for spring sessions.

I’m updating my website today with available times and days and also announcing mini sessions dates and specials for may!

Also, if you had to cancel this winter for weather or any other reason please reach out for a code to rebook online or a refund and I’ll get those out this week as well!

I can’t wait to for more evenings out in the field with you guys! Thank you for being so patient while I took some time off.

I’ve struggled to bring myself to post lately, especially this. But over the weekend, remembering and celebrating my friend, I was reminded of what people I’ve loved and lost would want.
Jimmy was everyone’s biggest cheerleader. He always supported and encouraged my work. He always ended every conversation offering help and reminding me I was loved and strong and brave.
The last year of loss has felt overwhelming. And unfair. Too many people I’ve loved have been taken way too soon.
Hug your people tight. And take every opportunity to tell them you love them. 🖤

I wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will be taking a few days off before and the day after Christmas to spend with my family. I have literally spent so many days on shoots and with my face buried in my computer for hours and I want to refocus my energy. My kids need me. My fiancé needs me. And after the busiest season ever my mind and body are in desperate need of a couple days where I don’t need to respond to emails and texts.

I shared yesterday that I’ll be starting monthly subscriptions for content photography for businesses. This week has felt super defeating. So I didn’t feel like hopping on here to plug any cheery bu****it. Just an image that gives me all the feels and a couple announcements.

My schedule is reopening for January, feb, and March today…but I will note that I will have limited availability because of my own little wedding in April and all the things leading up to it.

Currently dying on my couch and praying the antibiotics kick in. It’s been a full season and I think my body is finally making me rest. Today will be spent in bed not spreading germs and editing.
