Check out our sculpture inspired by my Granfather Sage! 🌿

We commissioned this on an oak tree at our first farmhouse back in 1999. We sold the property in 2004 but the developer told us he would keep the farmhouse and the sculpture for the proposed development. After 5 years we realized the sculpture was going rot! So my husband went in the middle of the night (on Christmas Eve), chopped down the tree, and gave it to me for Christmas! Now the sculpture lives at the exit of the property where Granpop Sage can wave goodbye to all our guests 👋🤍

It’s National Alpaca Day so thought this would be a good time to announce the addition of our 4 girls to Sage Farmhouse! From left to right they are Lily, Marigold, Violet (she is incorrigible) and Sunflower. They have very unique personalities and we are so in love with them!

We will be offering a chance to add a visit with them for our scheduled events and weddings very soon so will keep you updated!

We have had a male cardinal hanging out at Sage’s living room window all winter. It seems he looks at his reflection and taps on the glass. We love seeing him and look forward to his visits but it occurred to me that we never see a female. I have been feeling sorry for him….thought he was seeing his reflection and thinking it was a female. I had a whole unrequited love story going. Then we found out that he really is protecting his territory and thinks his reflection is an aggressor! Geesh. 🤦‍♀️. So much for my nice romantic story!!

I snapped this last night walking down the hill to do a tour at Sage and was reminded how much I love this old sycamore. She has seen many years of life going on under her branches…and I am grateful for her shade and protection over all our guests who are celebrating life’s special moments.
