– April 4, 1926 – Rev. Anthony Mark Wallock started a tradition that continues to this day—the Easter pageant at the Holy City of the Wichitas (located within the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge). It is one of the nation’s longest-running Easter pageants.
? The Holy City of the Wichitas Historic District (Comanche County) is listed in the National Register of Historic Places! Many of the structures were built by the WPA in 1934–36.
