This is the LAST WEEK to see the Foosaner’s current exhibition Abstraction: Retrospective Memories ✨ Focusing on two abstract painters, Steven Seinberg () and Rene Griffith (.griffith) as well as the 40+ years of Foosaner history. Add a love letter to our wall, flip through past exhibition catalogs and guild scrapbooks, view student work that was made at our Renee Foosaner Education Center classes and workshops, and more! Many of our docents and volunteers who have been with us for years and years came to the final exhibition today ❤️ They loved spending time looking at all the older photos, scrapbooks, catalogs, show invitations, and documentary film that we have currently on display as part of our museum retrospective. It was wonderful to have them visit as an almost complete group one more time before our doors close for good. Remember you have until June 19th to visit Abstraction: Retrospective Memories ✨

What better way to celebrate than with our current museum retrospective, which aims to honor all those who made it possible for the Brevard community to have a museum ❤️

Over the past 40+ years these people (and there’s so many more not pictured) truly gave this museum everything it needed to flourish. From docents, to volunteers, jazz angels, art instructors, donors, and more - this museum was built by and for our community. Honoring these art heroes is the least we could do. So thank you from all of us here at the Foosaner 🥰 Also, thank you to for sponsoring and assembling the long gallery wall featuring black and white cut outs of some of our art heroes.

Come celebrate these heroes with us one last time before it’s too late - show ends June 19th.

Get lost in the world of David Burton and his “Assorted Fun!” 🌀✨ Made out of mixed media this fun installation experiments with toys made for children by using them to create a visual language that juxtaposes classic, old time characters and references with modern imagery and interests.
