This beautiful wine features notes of apple and stone fruit while maintaining a hidden oak flavor. The Flower Queen will pair well with prosciutto!

Notes from the winemaker…

Lemon green wine, with golden hues, clear and bright with intense fruit flavor highlighting pear, apple and peach. On the palate it shows an integrated acidity on the whole, thick, and very balanced. The freshness of pome fruit is wrapped by the smoothness of the stone fruit, which gives the whole great harmony, releasing crisp sensations and finishing fresh and clean.
Great pairing with pasta, fish and shellfish.

We are so sad to announce our last night open as a Wine Bar is this Wednesday night. We have been amazed at the outpouring of love and support for our passion project that is our wine bar! It has been so great to meet so many of our neighbors near and far. We have had so much success with hosting private events we have decided to concentrate our efforts on hosting spectacular events and private parties!!

Happy Wine Wednesday! Today we are featuring the Aranleon 'Solo' Bobal Syrah 2019/20. Come give it a try tonight at Citrus! 🍷
Notes about the wine…
Bobal is the defining grape of under-the-radar Spanish region Utiel-Requena, located outside Valencia. The snail on the bottle represents the ethos of Bodega Aranleon, a tribute to the slow, patient work in the vineyard. The grapes are hand-harvested from largely non-irrigated vines, and the wine is aged in Hungarian and French oak barrels for six months. Low-intervention, certified organic and vegan.

Bobal is a powerful grape, but with a characteristic delicacy defined by aromas of dried herbs and flowers. Plenty of red and black fruit on the nose, alongside touches of oak, with a mineral freshness on the palate. The wine has the structure to age, and in its present lively form is best savoured with food. 20% Syrah is blended for balance.
The wines balance gives it versatility when pairing. We favour sausages and cheeses. You also can’t go wrong with a tapas pairing.

This elegant bottle showcases the rich flavors characteristic of its Italian heritage, with notes of ripe cherries and subtle spices. Perfect for any occasion. Dark purple in color, this wine lives up to its name - pinot noir is derived from the words pine and bark. The bunches of grapes make the pinot noir a fine wine.

Notes from the Winemaker…
A 100% tempranillo like many of those wines that have written the history of DO Rioja. It is generous through all phases of the tasting. A violet colour, aroma of red fruit, very fresh and tasty in the mouth. its intentions are clear and never disappoint.

Crafted from both mountain and valley floor grapes, this beautifully rich and complex wine offers alluring aromas of huckleberry, cardamom, graham cracker, dark chocolate and violets. On the palate, juicy flavors of ripe boysenberry and black tea glide across finely textured tannins, with bright, balanced acidity contributing to a long, elegant finish.
