New Memphis Pride Fest , new shirts! It was wonderful to meet so many new people this weekend. I look forward to getting to know many of you better over the course of prepping for your own ceremonies!
It was affirming and saddening to hear of the extreme difficulty two local couples had finding a wedding officiant who would/could solemnize their marriage, with southern laws created to allow discrimination against LGBTQIA+ couples by clerks and officials. That's exactly why I became ordained- to fill in those gaps and help even the scales.
