The heart of the Museum's Lorraine Building, the lobby is accompanied by our popular "Movement to Overcome" sculpture in the center of the lobby. Used widely for receptions and mixers, this is the prime space for a socialite event with natural sunlight glaring down from our beautiful open window at the top of the Museum. Leading up to the atrium and often paired with the Hooks Hyde Hall, high boys can be stationed around the stairwell balcony alongside our Museum Store to encourage mixing and mingling all day or all night.

The Legacy Building can be transformed into a music hall, a runway for a fashion show, meet & greet area, or anything that you can envision. AV compatible with a huge retractable screen, the Ford Theater is usually one of the first experiences that Museum guest get to witness when they view the introductory video.
Additionally, it is often used for book talks, panel discussions, entertainment and film screenings. Whatever your choice, this is the perfect place for your group event involving dialect!
When there's not an amazing exhibition on display, there's things that can be done in the State of TN Art Gallery. Has been used for press conferences, receptions and parties, this space gives the ambience of its own, in its own space. As long as there's not an exhibit, it's an ideal space for any occasion.
The perfect setting for classrooms, small business meetings, small showers or small parties, this room holds up to 60 people. It can be divided into two spaces for much smaller gatherings and accommodations. The Links is set apart from the main lobby and entrance of the Lorraine Building in a private area with restrooms and it's own entry.
This room is eqipped with a large retractable screen, big screen television and it is av compatible. Check out a few ways the setup can be arranged in this unique space.
