The relationship between the people behind LoneTree Live and Jordon Douglas has grown for a while. Jordon was in our original verbatim play "A Bite of Memphis" and has participated in our annual production The 24 Hour Plays: Memphis for many years. "LoneTree Live ... allows people who don't have a lot of experience to explore." We're so proud of Jordon and glad she's a part of our company.

LoneTree Live is doing something different in Memphis by embracing creativity and collaboration and bringing fresh perspectives to the stage. Now as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our impact is evident in the vibrant community we’ve built.

Over the past few seasons, we’ve provided countless opportunities for local artists to explore their craft in unique and innovative ways. For example, The 24 Hour Plays: Memphis has always been a sold-out favorite, bringing together more than 50 local artists to create original short works in just 24 hours. In March 2025, we are thrilled to produce "Dance Nation" by Clare Baron, a regional premiere that delves into the intensity and drive of a competitive adolescent dance team. This production alone will feature the talent of more than 20 local artists and engage hundreds of theatergoers over its two-week run. Our classes for adults and youth offer opportunities to develop skills and explore new ideas.

We're looking forward to seeing you at auditions this weekend!
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2:00-4:00pm and Sunday Oct. 13, 6:00-8:00pm at TheatreWorks at the Evergreen.
Callbacks are by invitation on Monday, Oct. 14, 7:00-10:00pm at TheatreWorks at the Evergreen.

ALL roles are open to performers of ALL AGES 18+. Similarly, all roles are open to performers of any ethnicity (with the exception of Connie, who must be played by a South Asian performer). LoneTree Live is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and encourages people of all ages 18+, all genders, ethnicities, abilities and cultural backgrounds to audition.

Not really a dancer? No problem! Callbacks will include a movement portion. The majority of actors in the show do not need formal dance training, so give yourself grace, have an open mind and come play with us!

DANCE NATION will be directed by Jamie Boller-Raup and choreographed by Angel Clark and produced March 14-23. LoneTree Live is excited to be working with these two talented people and we have a team of amazing designers ready to bring this fierce, funny and unique telling of the messiness of adolescence.

**Played by a multigenerational cast, Clare Barron’s DANCE NATION is a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and follows a group of girls as they fight to find themselves and be heard in a world that wants to pin them against each other. In the midst of turmoil, these characters are confronted with an important question: what does it take to win? And what are they willing to sacrifice to become victorious?**
