Duties include:

Set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs. linens, audio visual, staging, and other event equipment.

Being assigned various task by Event Manager.

Closing and securing building at the end of shifts as needed.

Working closely with office staff to ensure event safety and venue guidelines are met.

Available to work nights and weekend event shifts as needed

Clean and organize venue space as needed

Maintain inventory and venue equipment. (light maintenance experience preferred).

Attends weekly planning meetings

Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.

A very special thank you to all of the vendors that participated in our Open House yesterday.

Guests were able to sample small bites provided by Pink Flamingo Catering , Coletta's Italian Restaurant, Three Women & A Truck, and Humdingers. Delicious treats and cake samples from Crave Sweets Arlington, Frost Bake Shop - East Memphis, Calhoun's Sweet Treats were quickly devoured, and thirst were quenched at the bar by Abedra Services. DJ2typesofpassion and brought the heat and had the crowd dancing! Incredibly Wee Photography, Jackie McGinnis Photo, Camille Leigh Photography, MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE PRODUCTIONS and Phancy Photo Booth, some of the cities best photographers/video professionals were in the house. Simone Elise Events gave us wedding at Tiffany's vibes with their stunning ceremony set-up, that was enhanced by a custom floor wrap from Dixon Prints. Tablescapes using 2024's Pantone Colors (Apricot and Sky Blue) Premier Flowers Memphis, Snapdragon Floral, Charese Feliciano, and Simone Elise Events. Events Beyond Imaginations provided something blue with her floor to ceiling drapes. Infinity Events, LLC and It's Your Day! Weddings & Special Events, put potential brides at ease by offering planning tips. Finally, a canopy of lights, along with a fire pit Mahaffey Event & Tent Rentals lite up the night.

A new event venue in the heart of Memphis

Hidden away in the heart of Memphis lies Avon Acres. Grand wooden gates open to this brand new event venue which features over 5800 square feet of rustic elegance. Gorgeous iron chandeliers adorn the lofted shiplap ceiling. Giant glass pass through doors open to a covered patio and sweeping lawn allowing the inside space to be perfectly blended with the outdoors. Avon Acres’ simple elegance allows for unlimited design and décor. Newly added amenities include a beautiful outdoor Gazebo, two built in bars, and a garden bar window to make outdoor cocktail service a breeze.

Avon Acres is able to accommodate 300 seated guests indoors and 375 guests standing with cocktail tables. Our space is perfect for Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions, and Rehearsal Dinners, as well as Corporate Parties, Fundraisers, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Rehearsal Dinners, Non – Profit Events, Formal Dances, Anniversary Parties, and Trade Shows..

Adjacent to our main event space are two fully furnished cottages where wedding parties and event planners can prepare for their celebrations in style. Each cottage is complete with its own private party deck, luxurious dressing room, plush lounge area, kitchenette-bar, and restrooms. In the Bridal Cottage, a glamorous vanity-dressing room enables even large bridal parties to attend to hair, makeup, and dressing in comfort.
