This is 37. 🤍

What a year. We’ve seen the lowest of lows and the highest of highs, and I’m thankful for every moment that shaped me, everything I’ve learned, and the wonderful people I’ve met along the way.

I’m taking the month of October to step away from social media and give my attention to my sweet family, my amazing clients planning celebrations next year, and a few exciting projects in the works.

Here’s to growing older, holding the people we love close, and being grateful for the life we’re living!

When Adam and I decided to renew our vows for our 15th wedding anniversary, I started searching for the perfect dress. And I searched everywhere—every designer, every price point, dresses from the last twenty years—and nothing felt like IT.

I finally found one I liked, but I wanted this dress to mean more than something beautiful I found on the internet.

That’s when I knew I wanted Mrs. Ann to make it.

Mrs. Ann Johnson has been one of those special women in my life who has always believed in me, encouraged me, and prayed for me. Years ago, when I was first starting my business, we both had booths at a local wedding expo trying to make our way in the wedding industry.

From then on, I sent every bride I could to Mrs. Ann—the Tailor Lady. She doesn’t just make sure their gowns fit perfectly; she makes my brides feel loved and cared for, and often prays with them. I have always admired the way she uses her incredible talent to serve others and be a light.

So when it was finally my turn, I knew there was no one else I wanted to make something so meaningful.

Every step of the process was so sweet, and the finished dress was more than I could have dreamed. The color, texture, movement, details, fit—every stitch felt sewn with prayer and love.

I told Mrs. Ann I wanted to feel like a princess.

Well, she made me feel like a queen.

The dress was perfectly me, and I will treasure it forever.

Mrs. Ann, thank you for the hours you poured into this dress, but even more, thank you for your friendship, your prayers, your encouragement, and for sharing your God-given talent with me in such a meaningful way.

I will forever treasure the dress, but I’ll treasure the woman who made it even more.

15 years. Marriage is beautiful. Marriage is hard. And the work is worth it.

Fifteen years ago, we got married young—even when some people thought we shouldn’t. We promised for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live. I meant those words then, but I understand them so much more now.

Marriage is choosing each other over and over. It is forgiveness and patience, sacrifice and grace, and trusting God to use every season to shape you.

And we’ve had some seasons—two year-long deployments within five years, COVID, moves across the country, losing parents, navigating military life, raising babies, building careers, and all the highs, lows, and ordinary days in between.

We haven’t done it perfectly—not even close. But God has been so faithful. He has provided, protected, corrected, grown, and sustained us through it all.

Adam, thank you for working so hard for our family, supporting every crazy dream of mine, loving our children so deeply, and being patient with me through every version of myself.

Getting to celebrate 15 years in such a beautiful way—to look back at all God has carried us through and make those promises to each other again—was something I’ll never forget.

After all the better and the worse, knowing everything I know now, I would still choose you. 🤍

Jordan + Ben, the night before forever.

Coastal, candlelit, effortlessly romantic.
We set the table on the rooftop of Jekyll Ocean Club and let the sunset do the rest — waves of lisianthus tracing the length of the table, soft linens, and a view that needed no embellishing (though we embellished anyway). Jordan’s Martina Liana Lux gown, with its dimensional floral appliqué, was the perfect match for an evening this soft and sun-soaked.

Hi, friends! There are quite a few new faces here lately, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Latham Stevens—a small-town Mississippi girl who now calls Alaska home and has the incredible privilege of planning and designing weddings primarily in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and throughout the Southern U.S.

What a summer it has been. Full, intense, beautiful, and incredibly rewarding. I’m walking away from this season with such a grateful heart—for the couples and families who trusted me, the vendor teams who poured so much into each celebration, and all of you who continue to follow along and cheer me on from near and far.

As summer begins to wind down and we look toward fall, I have one more wedding this year—and goodness, I am absolutely over the moon about it. I cannot wait to celebrate this sweet couple and eventually share it all with you!

After that, I’ll be stepping away for a little sabbatical—a chance to slow down, pour into my family, find fresh inspiration, and spend some intentional time dreaming, praying, and refining my goals for the year ahead.

I’m so thankful for this little corner of the internet and for each of you who chooses to be here. What a gift it is to get to do work I love, in places I love, alongside people who make it all so meaningful.

Here’s to finishing this season well, making space for rest, and looking forward with so much gratitude and anticipation for what’s to come. 🤍

What an incredible honor to see Jordan & Ben’s beautiful Jekyll Island wedding featured in Southern Bride! 🤍

This weekend was something special, and seeing it shared in this way feels like such a beautiful celebration of all that went into bringing it to life. Every detail was created with so much intention, and an extraordinary amount of heart, talent, and hard work was poured into this wedding by every single member of our vendor team.

I am endlessly grateful to have worked alongside such talented people and even more thankful to have been trusted with such a meaningful weekend for two people and two families I love so dearly.

What a special night in my hometown. 🤍

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of hosting the grand opening of Main Street Events, a beautiful new venue brought to life by David and Lesley. The heart, vision, and hard work they have poured into these spaces is incredible, and I know this venue is going to be such a gift to the community for years to come!

My mom (the florist) and I have been dreaming of a project where we could simply create, have fun, think outside the box, and let our imaginations run a little wild. This was the perfect opportunity. We gave the chapel a timeless, classic feel and transformed the reception space into a cheeky little speakeasy, and goodness, did we have fun bringing it all to life!

But the sweetest part was watching the town show up to celebrate. Friends, family, members of the community, and so many wonderful wedding professionals from Memphis filled these spaces with such joy and support. It was a beautiful reminder of what happens when people rally around something good.

And none of it would have been possible without the incredible team of vendors who jumped in, trusted the vision, and helped us create something so special. We are so grateful for every single one of you!

David and Lesley, thank you for investing in our hometown and for creating a place where so many memories will be made. I already know Main Street Events is going to be a blessing to countless couples, families, and celebrations.
