5 Tips to Nail Your Sparkler Exit⬇️
1. Keep it exclusive - Only have your wedding party or close friends in the sparkler line. Too many guests = chaos, uneven sparkler lighting, and potential safety hazards.
2. Timing is everything - Don’t wait until the end of the night when everyone’s exhausted (and tipsy). The best time? Just after sunset when there’s still a little natural glow for cleaner, less grainy footage.
3. Bigger is better - Longer sparklers (like 36”) burn for almost 4 minutes, giving you plenty of time for multiple takes instead of a rushed 30-second dash.
4. Direct the energy - Instead of just running through, pause halfway for a twirl or a kiss to get more variety in your shots. A slow walk can feel more cinematic than a full sprint!
5. Proper lighting - A great photographer or videographer knows how to light a sparkler exit properly—whether it’s using existing ambient light, bringing subtle constant lighting, or knowing how to expose for the glow of the sparklers without losing detail.
