Come kick-off the 2025 Merced County Fair season with us! Please join us, our Fair Board of Directors and Friends of the Merced County Fair for a good time at this year’s Merced County Fair Pre-Party & Dinner on Fri, 2/28 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.! 🎲🚗🎉

Tickets are $75 per person, which includes dinner and hosted bar. Guests will enjoy live music by Scotty Rich, a silent and live auction, a 50/50 raffle, and of course your fair food favorites of corn dogs and kettle corn! Attendees must be 21 years old. Tickets available for purchase online only! Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. Friends of the Fair members will be able to purchase a Preferred Parking Pass; limit one pass per membership.

The Merced County Fair is proud to announce the 2025 officer positions for the 35th District Agricultural Association Board of Directors, which was voted on at the December 18, 2024 Board meeting. Those positions are: Mark Erreca, President; Emily Haden, First Vice President; and Mark Pazin, Second Vice President.

“Mark has been a dedicated presence on our Fair Board for over two decades,” said Teresa Burrola, CEO of the Merced County Fair. “He was actually Board President the year I was appointed CEO; a meaningful connection in our shared Fair history together. His passion for our Fair, exhibitors and broader community is remarkable. I look forward to working alongside him and the rest of the Board, seeing the community come together once again at this year’s Fair – a cherished community tradition.”

🚨Retirement Announcement!🚨

It is with gratitude that we announce that after 27 years with the Fair, including nine years as CEO, Teresa Burrola will be retiring. 👏 The 2025 Merced County Fair will be the last with Teresa at the helm, concluding a tenure in which she oversaw significant changes from major capital improvements to expanded entertainment and events, and skillfully navigated the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It has been an honor of a lifetime to lead the Merced County Fair and work alongside our incredible Board and staff,” said Teresa Burrola, CEO of the Merced County Fair. “Almost a decade ago as I took on this role, I committed to putting ideas into action, improving our Fair for the community, and making it something they could be proud of. With the support of my team and Board, we have accomplished a lot with more plans for the future. I am so proud that the Merced County Fair is in a strong position to succeed having navigated unprecedented events to only emerge stronger and more resolute to be here for generations to come – serving the community in times of need and, of course, in times of celebration!”

Teresa’s near decade leadership as CEO of the Merced County Fair has resulted in many notable achievements such as bringing signature Hispanic concerts back to the Fair on Sundays, expanding the Fair’s food drive, establishing the annual Pre-Party to raise funds to support the Fair, successfully navigating a global pandemic, as well as champion, oversaw and secured over $6M in funding for capital improvement projects.

🚧 Exciting upgrades are underway at the Merced County Fairgrounds! 🚧

We’re thrilled to share that phase I of the Resiliency Project is underway! 🛠️ We’ve partnered with local contractor, Marvulli Inc. Commercial Construction to replace a few beams in Half Dome Hall to preserve the roof and ensure everyone’s safety.

✨ Phase II - Merced Pavilion: Coming soon! A brand-new roof, fresh siding, and a beautiful paint job are on the way.

✨ Phase III - Yosemite Hall: Scheduled for after the 2025 Merced County Fair, this phase will bring updates to the roof, ceiling, entrance, HVAC system and a fresh coat of paint.

These funds were awarded from the California Department of Food & Agriculture in 2023 as part of its Fairgrounds Resilience Centers Program, which focuses on improving both local fairground and other community facilities to enhance the state’s emergency preparedness capabilities, particularly in response to climate change.

Nothing is as sweet as National Cotton Candy Day! We love to indulge on a little bit of cotton candy while at the Merced County Fair. ☁️💙🩷

Fun Fact! According to Guinness World Record, the largest cotton candy ever made weighed over 3,500 lbs. and was created in 2009 by a team in France. They used a custom-built machine and thousands of pounds of sugar!
