Smokin’ on the Rio board members, committee members and volunteers had the pleasure of catering the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show sponsor appreciation dinner at the RGVLS grounds.

The Smokin’ Crew whipped up a steak & shrimp meal, with potato casserole and green beans!! Including a delicious peach cobbler and ice cream dessert.

Well it was pretty good!

Smoked to beef cooked temp, cut up in cubes, then put back in the smoker for about 30 min with my favorite combo of bbq sauces.

Today we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice serving in our armed forces.

We are most sincerely grateful to those who served in the armed forces who laid down their lives for us, so we may be free. Today we remember the fallen and their families.

As most of us can’t wait to turn on the BBQ pit and begin to enjoy time with family and friends, take time to remember, we are the home of the free because of the brave.

For many years Smokin’ on the Rio has partnered up with Food Bank RGV INC to help feed families of Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties.

This last cook-off we were able to donate 2,625 pounds of food!!!!!

🔥This donation helped feed over 2,000 families right here in the RGV!!!🔥

So we say thank you to all our competitors, supporters, and the food bank, because without you this would not be possible.
