This morning the channel I was listening to on the way to work stopped for a moment of silence at 7:46 am (CST) in memorial of the time the plane hit the first tower. I was so touched it was hard to fight back tears. Not just the memory of that moment, thinking back at the sense of unity we had as a nation, the respect we had for our first responders, the grace we showed one other.

My how things have changed. 😢

Well, having lost power about 99 times in the 11 years we lived in Seattle, we feel fairly prepared for this storm that's about to hit Texas. But the panic is real to those that lived through last years storms! While in line (for 45 minutes) at the grocery store I heard LOTS of personal stories! We've filled up all our large jars with water, and the bathtub (which is sadly the first time it's been used🙄). Praying that all are safe and the kiddos have the time of their life the next couple days!
