Bad news again. The Parks department just informed us that the repairs weren't able to be completed. The county informed them they are finishing the repairs this weekend and we have to cancel the race again. We just got the notice a few minutes ago. We were just as surprised as you. We are sorry to do this but we don't have much choice. We are going to issue refunds to everyone who is registered. They will likely take a day or two to show up on your cards. You don't have to do anything. We are talking to the parks and we will let you know if we can get any other dates this summer. We are just as bummed as you about this. Unfortunately we need to cancel the race at Branch Brook Park this Sunday. There are some very dangerous sections on the course due to road damage. We have been working closely with the park and they just aren't able to complete the repairs for this weekend. We have been assured the course will be good for next weeks race so as of now, the 6/29/24 is happening. We are very sorry to have to do this but the course just isn't safe to race on. Unfortunately the park is forcing us to cancel the race tomorrow, 3/25/23. Jim and I have been on the phone with them all afternoon trying to figure out a solution to no avail. We are being told that their risk management people are concerned about the weather and will not allow us to hold the race.
Please spread the word and we will hopefully see you all next week for the Cherry Blossom Challenge.
