✨Molly + Jay ✨

Their day was a certain kind of magic! They chose the backdrop for their union to be in gorgeous McCall, ID. You can never go wrong with this place. Even when the weather tries to throw you for a loop. And we all certainly got a curveball with the weather on this special day of theirs. In the morning on the way to the for getting ready, snow/hail blanketed the ground. It’s the end of June mind you, who wouldn’t think this would be the weather. 🫠😅 it was a bit of a shock but it didn’t stop these two for a second from enjoying, embracing, and loving every moment & each other!

You would never know from the photos but the day started out around 39 degrees and poured down hail several times and only got up to about 49 degrees for the high. Sweet Molly was a trouper in her dress, shivering along the way, but so filled with joy and love that I think it warmed her up just right!!

Also one fun fact about their day, Jay’s Mom folded 1,001 paper cranes all by her self!! They represent good luck in the Japanese culture. Talk about a beautiful act of love on her son’s wedding day!

I loved spending the day with these two, no matter what the weather looked like. It was all perfection!!

Still Water Hollow

These two!! All of the weddings I get the joy and honor to capture have magic to them. But every once in a while a couple & their wedding day has some extra special magic. That was and is these two beautiful souls.

They waited a long time for their true love. Their true North. There is no timeframe or age that can define or contain love. It will happen whenever it darn well wants to!

J.R. & Sandra met doing one of the things they love to do most…dancing! From all the stories they told of their meeting, I do declare it was love at first sight.

The love they have for each other and vibrancy to live life to the fullest is palpable any time you are around them. I only have known them (as a vendor) for a very short couple months, but they certainly left me wanting more. More of their magic, more of their passion for life and each other, more of their dancing (they danced the night away and they are SO freaking good!!!), more of everything about them!!

Needless to say, I felt so honored to get to capture this very special day for them!! I would do it all over again and again and again ❤️

Congrats to two beautiful souls who show us all, age does not matter….if anything it only makes it all better!

Yes I would love to take your picture, so you can remember 😉🫶🏼

Let’s face it, life moves fast, we want to hit pause but we can’t. Our only pause button is the photos and videos that we take or have taken for us. You will forever cherish every single photo at some point in your journey through this beautiful life. Trust me…as a seasoned veteran in photography and general life (married for almost 15 years, 2 kids, running a business for 20 years, fitness instructor for 11 years, loss of close family members, dog owner and lose of dogs, and on it goes.

I’m so thankful for every photo I have of my life journey and it makes me extra passionate to be able to capture special moments and all the in between for each of my clients so they can remember and also be there for those they love as a keepsake.

Also, this engagement session 😍 just another reminder of why it’s so great to do an engagement session and why I include them with all my wedding packages!

A classic car can be one of the best ways to elevate your wedding photos and be a super cool way to drive away from your big day waving out the windows!!

As a photographer, I get absolutely giddy inside and outside when I hear my couples have a classic car or truck coming to their wedding! 😀 my creative juices start flowing and I’m ready to rock these photos with your investment of money or time to get that car to your wedding.

Engagement sessions are some of my favorite sessions to photograph!!

Here are my top 2 reasons for why I offer these sessions as part of every package for my wedding couples. ⬇️

1). It’s a perfect date night! (with a super fun third wheel 😅)

It’s a very special and sweet time for just the two of you to be playful together and share tender moments all while getting them captured in a beautiful location that speaks to your personalities!! And it's a different backdrop than your wedding venue.
I always tell my couples that the top priority for these shoots is to have a blast! And then make dinner reservations, kindly break up with your third wheel😉, and enjoy a great evening, hopefully reflecting on how much fun you had, and that it was way easier to be in front of the camera than you thought!

2). It gives you a chance to get to know your photographer better and how they will guide you through poses before your big day!

This is such an important piece. While engagement sessions are not a requirement to have a successful and fun time on your wedding day, it helps more than you know! When I show up to my couple’s weddings I want them to instantly feel comfortable with me, give hugs, and dive right into all the excitement and beautiful emotions ❤️ I don’t want you thinking about my camera or how you are going to act in front of me for your whole day! I want to capture your love, connection, and personality. Doing an engagement session will create that easy and make you feel like you hired a good friend who to photograph your wedding who just happens to be really good with a camera 😉

If you are a newly engaged couple, keep these reasons in mind as you select your photographer. I can’t recommend engagement sessions more highly!! 🙌🏼
