Many times it’s the simple intimate weddings that leave me feeling a sense of overwhelming transcendence . It seems to be found in the intimate dinners amongst the closest friends and family with the most breath taking views. It’s in the laughs, the love, the simplicity. It’s what life is really all about.

Bridal bouquet shots in all there glory! Love when the Photograpgher capture close ups of all the goodness. This is also a great example how the different ways you hold your bouquet will allow for a totally different look. Our favorite is stems to right below the button so you see the top of the bouquet.

P.s. I think I am the anemone florist queen. These beauties are in so many of our designs and I’m not mad about it, except that I have to order like 30 extra stems for every wedding to get only the good ones, cause these suckers have some duds in the bunch every time!

When you spend some serious time writing out content then your instagram post sticks and never uploads and you lose all your hard work.

My summed up version.

Heavy pampas maybe out, (all the vendors are quite over the mess, the potential fire hazards and the allergies)but using high texture fillers and foliage and other grasses with neutrals and creams are still a hit with our beautiful Arizona landscapes. We loved these textures and neutral palettes and how they fit so perfectly at desert venue! Captured effortlessly by of this stunning couple.

I miss the days when posting on instagram was just sharing our journey as a designer. Showing the work we were proud of. There was an ease to it. Now I often feel like a lot of creatives have pulled back on posting because reels seem so daunting, thinking about how we need to educate or have meaning to each post, or what time is best to post or feeling the need to post every day.

Today I’m posting this post because these gorgeous photos and this beautiful couple and day brought such ease the way I want my post to feel lol, my wedding days to feel and working with our team to feel.

When you look at a bouquet made freely with no restrictions on design, where the designers had the ability to choose the flowers based on what felt right no based on a list of flowers, you get your best results.

Even though many times designers want to relay what they are creating for you, to make you comfortable often times by providing a list of blooms, try to not get to caught up in that exact look of each individual flower because it is more about the freedom to create that will allow your flowers to shine in your day. Then more restrictions placed on the designer, the more requests, limitations, flower nitpicking that happens the less this becomes an art form and more of a “job”.

Art is best created in a flow state of mind so you can imagine the more that is taken away the harder it is for the designer to feel the flow in turn still making beautiful flowers but it’s less of an art.

To see the art is to let go and trust the designer you choose.

Talking through your wants and needs is still important, but trusting too is as equally important. Providing color guidance, style and a feeling is most important and the rest let go and trust.

I love how a simple thing like an arch structure that looks a little different can make for a really special back drop moment.

In the world of design we love to find the little things that not everyone is doing. Wether it be a stand out arch, a fun theme for a wedding, a non tradition bridesmaid dress or florals, find something unique to make your day stand out from all your friends who are also getting married.

Be unique in a world filled with lots of trend following.
