In all my years of friends, family and fun, I have always found myself out by the grill. Some folks congregate in the kitchen... My friends congregate around the pit. I find that I have a burning passion and love for food and entertaining. I also found disappointment in my adventures to restaurants as of late. Then one of my sons asked me question I couldn't answer. He asked, "why is the turkey at

the grocery store round? And why doesn't it look like turkey." Then I said to myself..."self, what is in that processed turkey breast? And should my kids be eating that?" So what is a master griller to do? Naturally, cook! So, after trials, experiments with brines, rubs, and grills... It has come the time to follow my dream. I know what I put in my meats!! So, I bring you, humbly, the Underground Smokehouse!

JALAPENO POPPER..."RECIPES"

make sure you like and follow us!

12 large jalapenos (cut in half long wise..this is important. If you have gloves wear them because the seeds have the heat. Core jalapenos and remove all seeds. If you like A LOT of spice..I mean a lot. Leave a few seeds to go in mix.
WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE. THE OILS FROM THE SEEDS VAN MAKE YOU VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for example of you rubbed your eyes or touched other sensitive areas.
You have been warned!

Place these items in a mixer and blend until everything is evenly mixed
6 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp sour cream
1 Tbsp Underground Smokehouse Worcestershire
6 oz cheese...this is tricky . "If you want just a nice flavored popper...use shredded or diced cheddar, mozzarella or your favorite cheese. I find there is no wrong answer.
Traditional is cheddar but we wanted spicy so we did half cheddar diced, 1 oz pepper jack diced and 3 ounces Carolina Reaper shredded cheese"
Grab a spoon and scoop mix evenly in each jalapeno half.
Get a sheet pan and foil it and preheat oven to 400 degrees.
15-20 minutes

Let jalapenos cook for about 5 minutes and serve with a really good Ranch Dressing.
DELICIOUSNESS!
