Our Story

Welcome to Chick-fil-A Lakeside Shopping Center. As a Chick-fil-A restaurant, we are a part of a nationwide brand, however we are also a locally owned business. Our Franchisee Owner/ Operator, Lauren Nelson is a native to the Greater New Orleans area. She began working in Chick-fil-A when she was just 14 years old as a cashier at Chick-fil-A Oakwood Shopping Center. While in High school, Lauren continued to work for Chick-fil-A, where she developed a passion for serving others. She also met her husband, Trey, while they were both team members.

After graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University, Lauren began to pursue a career with Chick-fil-A. She worked as a leader at Chick-fil-A Covington Highway 190 for two years before joining Chick-fil-A, Inc.’s Leadership Development Program. Lauren served as a Grand Opening Supervisor and Interim Manager for 18 months, traveling around the country to assist Operators with new restaurant openings.

Lauren was selected as the Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Lakeside Shopping Center in 2016 and has become a member of the Lakeside Shopping Center community. Lauren’s goal is to create a unique experience for every guest and team member at her restaurant. She has a passion for developing herself and others. Lauren loves meeting people in our community by getting involved with schools, charities and community events. Lauren and the rest of our team look forward to serving you on your next visit!
