You know that a decent portion of your wedding day money should be sunk into the food - but letting your guests know what food is being made available to them doesn't have to cost a fortune!

Design your own menus! You can use a website like Canva: it's super user friendly and they have templates at the ready if you aren't creatively inclined. You can then print them out at FedEx for a much cheaper price!

Don't want to waste all that paper and ink? Try using chalkboards above catering stations or at your guests' tables!

The last thing you want on your big day is to be tugging at your underwear the whole time!

Give your undergarments a test run to see if they're too tight, too loose, or are just too uncomfortable in general. After all, there are so many things you're going to have to focus on - checking in on what's going on under your dress definitely shouldn't be one of them.

Got any tips and tricks for keeping undergarments securely in place? Share them below!

Did you know we do engagment announcements?

Brian and Nina did! And it was such a joy getting to work with them.

Two more gentle souls you have never met. Every word, thought, and movement displayed the care, compassion, and kindness that they bring into their own lives and others'. Their buoyant, open, "let's-try-anything" natures made this shoot a breeze - along with the salty air, 😎

Your wedding is an extremely special and important day. It makes sense that you would pull out all the stops!

Draping your venue in diamonds (or crystals for my thrifty brides 🥰) is just the ticket you need to shower your extraordinary day in decadance!

Unless your looking for something a little more casual (especially for a beach wedding). Something that looks more upscale but has an earthy feel is the pearl. These can be intertwined into your already rustic-looking decor for a soft, yet slightly glamorous, sheen.

Are you looking for standout sparkle or understated elegance on your wedding day? Let me know in the comments!

I know I struggle with both fine hair and extremely short hair. Well, at least the short hair was a choice!

But, anyone with fine hair knows that up-dos are a nightmare. Try doing the "messy bun" and all you get is a quarter-sized lump on the back of your head.

Hair extensions don't have to just be there to extend your hair, though! Carefully layering in a few extensions can help thicken up what you already have so that that up-don't becomes the most satisfying and luxurious up-do.

Will you be getting an up-do for your wedding? Let me know what it'll look like in the comments!

This question could be the dealbreaker for both you and your caterer.

Here's the thing: catering is A LOT of work, so it has to be worth their while.

But, if your guest list is super tiny, you might not need the amount of food that'll be worth their time.

See if there is something you guys can work out: whether they can offer you a smaller package or you can incorporate them into your rehearsal dinner at their minimum price. Just find some kind of middle ground that makes it so everyone's happy!

What kind of catering are you gonna have at your wedding? Let me know in the comments!

Ah, table linens. The most expensive thing on your to-do list that not one guest is gonna notice.

So, why bother?

Seriously! Get rid of them entirely. Let the beautiful wood of your tables do the work for you. Now you can afford those slightly pricier napkin rings you were eyeballing! Or maybe there were some nice plate chargers that caught your interest? I say, add to cart!

What are you gonna do with the money you saved on table linens? Let me know in the comments!

With Bridgerton being the smash hit that it was, it was only a matter of time before it entered our special moments as well.

I mean, who doesn't want to find romance in an elegant regency garden? There's something about making your special love official in such a regal, courtly setting with all the lace, grandeur, and pomp you can muster.

But that might be too stuffy for some. Some might want to find the freedom between Bohemia and the Big City. Perhaps having modern structures and materials draped with bright and warm makeshift charm is the juxtaposition that describes you perfectly.

So, which feels more like you? Let me know in the comments!

Is your daily skincare routine not giving you the dewy, glowing skin you'd been hoping for on your special day?

You might need to add a little oomph at night. Try using a sleeping mask cream! The nightly creams can be a stronger formula that lock in moisture overnight so no tossing and turning on your pillowcase can remove what your skin is already naturally producing.

Just make sure to test it on a small patch of skin well before your wedding day to make sure you don't have any allergic issues on your special day.

You can find sleeping creams at your local pharmacy!

Most weddings are outdoors now. But, with Florida weather being unpredictable (will this thunderstorm last 3 seconds or 3 hours? 🤷‍♀️), it's best to play it safe and have a backup plan.

The good news is, you might not have to come up with it yourself!

Some outdoor venues are aware of the natural risks of having an outdoor wedding and are ready to keep the party going without a hitch. See if their plans match up to your expectations and also if there will be an additional cost to make those necessary changes.

Have you been to an outdoor wedding that had a backup plan? Let me know how it went in the comments!

Love a photo booth but hate how much it costs?

Ditch it!

All you need is a paper backdrop, a few cool and/or silly props, and a polaroid camera.

Not only will your guests be flocking to it just like a photo booth, but the nostalgic charm of it all will provide you with instant keepsakes for everyone at a fraction of the cost.

What would be your first pose at a polaroid station? Let me know in the comments!

It's time to dance with your new spouse! What kind of song is it gonna be?

Will you be starting out with an emotional ballad? This type of song showcases the lasting power your relationship has. It lays the strength, endurance, and emotional depth that brings the two of you together all out on the table for everyone to see.

Or will you be jamming to an upbeat classic? Keeping things fresh and fun is a key factor in a lasting relationship. Start out really strong with a fun bop to get your guests' toes tapping - or maybe even do some silly choreography?

Let me know your song selections in the comments!

Happy Pie Day!

Let this day be a reminder that you don't have to have cake at your wedding!

Have a family member bake a pie that you both love. You can use that one to cut and then have individual pies handed out to guests in small cups or mason jars.

You could have any flavor you want! You could make a favorite that you both share, a 2 sided pie for when you can't decide, or let the locals choose for you. Key lime is a popular choice for those living in Miami or the Florida Keys.

What flavor pie are you making for your wedding day? Let me know in the comments!

This is probably the most common misconception about my career - how long it actually takes me to do a job.

I don't just show up right as your walking down the aisle, capture the perfect moments, and dip.

The camera, lighting, and sound equipment all have to be set up (which takes a few hours) and stored safely. Then I need time to capture different parts of your venue before I shoot you getting ready for the big event.

After I've captured the actual wedding portion, I have to clean all of my equipment up.

So, a question like, "How much time do you need to set up?' is not only a good one, but it's very welcome! (Mostly because I love sharing my process with people 😆)

Got any more questions for me? I'd love to help! Ask away in the comments or shoot me a DM.

Also, it's my birthday, so I wouldn't mind a few well wishes today! 😁

Tavernier is the southernmost area of Key Largo.

It brings you the salty, easy-going Keys vibe without having to travel all the way to the densely populated Key West.

With an abundance of beautiful blue waters, captivating quaint structures, and easy breezy wildlife and nature surrounding you, choosing Tavernier as your beach wedding venue is a no-brainer.

Have a barbecue for your guests right by the water or choose one the multitudes of charming food and drink locations scattered up and down US1 to host your reception.

And don't forget to capture your first kiss in front of the stunning sunset only the Keys can provide.

Would you have your beach wedding in Tavernier? Let me know in the comments!

Alcohol is so expensive to begin with. Having to face that knowledge when confronting the idea of an open bar just makes it extra daunting.

So, cut the fat!

Your wedding doesn't have to be dry to save on cash. Work with a mixologist to come up with a signature cocktail that personifies who you are as a couple.

Then, serve unlimited amounts of just that cocktail. This way, you're only using 1 or 2 types of alcohol instead of, you know, ALL OF THEM. That way, your guests are happy and so is your wallet.

What kind of drink would you make that represents you and your spouse to be? Let me know in the comments!

Not ready to settle on a traditional tiered wedding cake? Don't worry; you have options!

Serving your cake in a mason jar is a charming twist on the classic cake. You could even personalize each mason jar with your guests' names or add your wedding date on them as a memorable keepsake. Individual cakes are also great to adapt to dietary restrictions - you could have gluten free, allergen free, or vegan options for your guests in need!

Or you could get rid of the cake entirely and opt for a milk and cookies bar. You could really make this fun by adding milk options: almond, oat, soy, or even chocolate milk!

Which of these would you do at your wedding? Or do you have another idea in mind? Let me know in the comments!

Everyone loves a dewy glow! Except for the camera...

While you want your skin to be soft, supple, and glowing, that may not translate well when it goes through the camera lens.

Any type of "glowing" that your skin is doing will look greasy when you get your photos and video back.

So, be sure to tell your makeup artist that you want makeup that goes on matte to avoid having issues.

If you still want to glow, you can place highlight in strategic places like the tops of your cheek bones and the tip of your nose.

What kind of makeup look will you be going for on your special day? Let me know in the comments!

It's hard to cover all the bases when planning your wedding. There's always gonna be one thing you forget to do and one thing you forget to ask.

So, I'm starting a series of questions to ask your wedding vendors that you may or may not have thought to ask. I'll be posting them every Monday, so be sure to check in then for new questions and follow to stay updated.

Today's question may seem simple but could be catastrophic if not asked. You could get all excited about all the flowers you'll be having at your wedding, max out your budget with the beautiful buds you've selected, and then get slammed with an additional delivery and set up fee if you're not careful.

These fees are pretty much always separate (and for good reason) but absolutely must be taken into consideration to have your flowers remain budget friendly.

What are some questions you're planning on asking your florist? Let me know in the comments!

One of the newer parks in Miami, Ingraham Park is settled in the neighborhoods of Coral Gables.

It boasts a tall limestone-walled canal covered elegantly by a greenery-encrusted, terracotta bridge, a stunning fountain encased by a semi-circle of statuesque pillars, and a charming walkway leading to a quaint pergola - all waiting for stunning photos and videos to be taken.

While not necessarily ideal for a wedding itself (it's teeny-tiny and parking is a nightmare), this would be a truly stunning area to shoot your wedding glamour shots (both photo and video) in between your ceremony and reception as it's quick to get in and out and there aren't many people travelling through.

Would you shoot your photos and video here? Let me know in the comments!

Flowers are a wedding staple...and an expensive one.

However, there is a way to have beautiful floral arrangements on your wedding day without having to break the bank.

Pick one or two types of flowers as a "theme" and add different types of greenery to your bouquet to pad them and add dimension. The greenery is cheaper and actually works to put the flowers even more on display.

Have flower decorations around your venue as well? Try adding candles into your decor to cut down on the amount of flowers needed.

Think this is a good idea? Be sure to like this video and follow for more money saving ideas!

We all know the deal when it comes to wedding food.

You're either standing in line for ages at the buffet and they've run out of the best stuff by the time you get up there.

Or, there's waitstaff serving over your shoulder making you jump every time they appear and taking away your meal before you're even halfway done with it.

Luckily, those aren't the only 2 options anymore!

You could serve bento boxes - a pre-portioned variety of food that can be made ahead of time. It eliminates the need for waitstaff and ensures that everyone gets to try all of your delicious food!

You could also serve family style - a mini buffet can be set up at each table, allowing your guests to serve themselves however much they want without having to get up and get in line.

So, which would you do? Or do you have another time and stress saving solution? Let me know in the comments!

Matheson Hammocks park was opened in the 1930s. It’s the county’s oldest park.

Due to its location and the romantic, intimate charm of the canopy of trees, historical, rustic structures, and gentle hum of cicadas, this is a prime spot for a small wedding.

You could easily build off the natural elements with some string lights, lamps, and garlands. And using a structure such as this not only creates a unique point that naturally draws the eyes downward to your ceremony, but would also make for some truly stunning and distinctive photo and video opportunities.

Would you use this spot for your wedding? How would you decorate it? Let me know below!

I’ll admit, this one scares me a bit. I wouldn’t have the nerve to do it. This is one for the bold bride.

But, you’d be putting lying words in my mouth if you said I didn’t like this idea.

I love the meaning behind getting a haircut after you’ve tied the knot. New hair, new you, right? You’re starting a completely new life, so why not show it? The wedding haircut is a statement: I’m entering this phase of my life without even an ounce of fear and I’m wearing that proudly for all to see.

Like this post if you’d do a post-ceremony haircut and let me know what kind of cut you’d get in the comments below!

Music plays a lot into how a wedding video is gonna go.

It isn't just picking a few nice songs and slapping them in at the end. It's finding a rhythm (literally and figuratively) and working out the story that the music will amplify.

Did you notice the 1 thing that the 3 songs had in common? All 3 hit a peak right when they go in for the kiss, whether it be in the volume or the amount of instruments coming in or both. This didn't happen by mistake (although I've had it happen where it just naturally fell into place when I first put the music in and then I needlessly high-fived myself 😅)

The music isn't just there to be nice. It's a storyteller and a really good one if you allow it to be. Music can steer the viewer towards a specific contextual emotion - it can have your hair stand on end at the thrilling first kiss or have you stifling back a few tears as dad walks the bride down the aisle.

TLDR: Music is a powerful tool for wedding videos when used appropriately 😄

Ugh, chair rentals. The most boring but possibly most necessary part of your wedding.

And, because they’re necessary, they aren’t an expense you can get around. But, you can finagle your way around it a bit.

Finding unique-looking chairs at thrift stores, antique shops, or flea markets can really cut down costs and increase the eclectic vibe of your wedding. You could even go so far as to ask to borrow chairs from friends and family. How cute would it be for Grandpa to be sitting in his favorite chair munching on your delicious catering?

Where would you go to find some low cost seating arrangements? Let me know in the comments!

Where are you in your life with your future spouse?

Some couples are just starting out. They’re leaving the nest and building a new home - a new family. And, in order to do that, they need some at-home essentials to get their settlement really kicking off. This was why the gift registry was invented: family and friends could come together to show their support for the couple by helping them build their life together. It takes a village, after all.

Other couples have already established a home. They’ve built up their legacy together before saying I Do. They’ve built a home that’s ready and waiting for them when they return - they’ve finished one adventure and are about to embark on another. Why not allow your family and friends to support you on the first of many adventures you’re about to take as a couple? This way you can save up for future experiences out in the world!

Whichever couple you are, what are you gonna put on your registry? Let me know in the comments below!
