Sunshine Bouquet currently holds 191.6 hectares of ecosystem restoration and conservation. In 2022 alone, we planted over 41,000 trees native to Colombia to create the appropriate habitat for pollinators - like bees, butterflies and hummingbirds - found in our crops.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Specifically, Sunshine’s environmental policy is committed to relocating the bees to areas that are safer for them as well as our farm workers. On July 30, 2022, Sunshine Bouquet and Melifera, an organization dedicated to rescuing and relocating bees, signed a cooperation agreement to safely rescue bees and relocate them to the 15 hives that were installed in one of Sunshine’s farms, Monserrate.
